Hi all, now before you slate me this isn't an anti TP thread. In fact I am 110% PRO pulis. I was just looking on oddschecker for the weekends bets and saw a market for next stoke manager. Interesting to see who is the favourite and some of the others mentioned. What are your thoughts on the below 3 who are tipped to be the next manager?:
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 12/1 Alan Curbishley 16/1 Ian Holloway 16/1
Personally I wouldn't have any of them, rather Mick Mcarthy at 25/1....
Thoughts?

Totally agree. I see TP staying for another 5 years in which i think he will look at what he has achieved and when that time comes he can be dam proud!

I hope our next manager is a promotion from within - we have some great personal chracters in the squad.
Pulis to have another 5 years while Rory gets coaching training and experience at the club in some capacity then Pulis to become a mentor for someone like Rory (not sure if Rory is ruthless enough though). Pulis then to take over Rudgies job and Rory for manager.
Then train Huth up to follow the same carrear progression - could you imagine how hard a Huth team would be?
I've got it all planned you know.
Running a football club is a piece of piss!

We've come too far to risk it on someone unproven. If The Stoke job came up it would be very sought after and we'd attract some very good candidates.

Unproven but I'd like to see Steve Bould, local lad who you'd hope still had a passion for us. Can't see him ever replacing Wenger I'm sure Arsenal would appoint another fancy foreign name before him.

And as said above, it's years away from happening. People won't have heard of the likes of Alan Curbishley anymore, and Solskjaer could fade away into obscurity.

If TP goes this season, it will be Megson. Otherwise, it will be someone who has progressed through the club. (I'm still expecting Salif to reappear in the near future)

Pulis will still be manager when I reach my 70th Birthday. By the way, he was born a year before me.

Didn't someone on here say a while ago that Uncle Peter was still a big fan of Steve Cotterill.
Only saying what I heard. Don't shoot the messenger. ;D

There carnt be many men as fit and healthy as Pulis at his age, i can see him carrying on well into his 70s I think by the time Pullis is 70 the EPL will have matured into a beast that is far too sophisticated for his abilities as a manager.

If TP goes within the next 10 years, Rory would be in the mix. He will have a coaching role at the club I think in the future and superb knowledge of the game. He will grow his skills at the club in terms of management from the coaching role and would make a cracking manager.

According to some apparently it already has. And please stop using "EPL", thanks

Pulis will have a Fergusonesque tenure at the helm of Stoke City. Well into his 70s.
After 5 years in charge of United the fans were baying for blood, and they were in the top division the whole time.
