www.bbc.co.uk/news/video_and_audio/Been watching all day and for the last few days hoping for good news. How could someone do something like that? Think about what it will be like for April? She must of been frightened. Hoping and praying she gets back to her family but I doubt it

Makes you wonder it was all planned out very meticulously, or if it was opportunistic and he's been lucky.
Surely there must be forensics linking this guy to April.
The only other thing is it may be a massive fuck up by police and they have the wrong person

They have started searching the river. I cant help feel when that starts they are looking for a body rather than a person.
Hope im wrong though.

You have to assume the police must be pretty confident they have their man but it seems bizarre that they haven't got anything to pin him down with (or at least they aren't saying if they do have). The vehicle would surely be full of forensic evidence

If April has been in his car previously, and there are no witnesses to identify him abducting her, they may have nothin to charge him with

These are the situations i hate tbh, if they cannot charge him. He may be totally innocent, so no wonder he is saying nothing, because he does not know, but if and when he is released he is a going to be a marked man no matter what.

When I first moved to Anglesey 14 years ago, we lived next door to April's Great Aunt (her grandma's sister) for 5 years. She was a lovely old lady, always had time for a chat and made a fuss of our son, who was a baby & toddler at this time. Sadly she passed away a couple of years ago, but in a strange way this is maybe a merciful blessing - what is happening now would absolutely devastate her. Tragic and terrible situation, and very chilling when it touches a family that you have known of, even though not directly.

i hope they have no proof and it is stalling tactics to keep him for longer questioning the fact that the volunteers have now been asked to stop with the search as they want only professionals helping now so no evidence is disturbed would seem to suggest the worst! one of my best mates is there today (her parents were there a couple of days ago as well) and there is lots and lots of crying up there at the moment as most of the volunteers i think know what this means now

What might the motive have been? There is always a motive... Who knows, but he picked her out of a bunch of other children who were also playing, she might have just been the unlucky one randomly chosen, or did he specifically target her for some reason ? some reports suggest he knew the family.

But if she has been in his car in recent weeks (and according to some reports, she has) then the existance of her DNA in the car might prove nothing. That's one reason why, if she is dead, then the sooner the body is found the better the chance of a conviction. It may be the killer's DNA and not hers ,which will prove the case.

You've sat in on the interviews with the suspect have you? No it's my opinion, until the police tell us otherwise It's been reported he knew the family and she has been in the car so any evidence could be circumstantial. I appreciate in cases like this it is often the local weirdo I just hope some other fucker isn't laughing at how he hasn't be collared yet

In my opinion the police are putting all their eggs into one basket, there is no body/remains all their evidence is circumstantial for all we know April is still out there.
I just pray to got she's still out there alive
