I think you have to give the police more recognition for their expertise in such matters. I read somewhere that the suspect was seen walking away from the river with a black bag. If this is true , and given April was seen being driven away in his car (and he was the last person to see her alive) , then this along with any forensic evidence is already enough to charge him with murder.
For all we know he might have already coughed to it and dumped her body in the river. One has to realise that this is a very fast flowing flooded river that could have quickly taken her body out to sea. If this is the sequence of events , then it is possible that her body may never be found.
You don't have to find a body to convict someone of murder.

No doubt there will be scores of 'professional liars' keen to represent him and his version of events.
They sicken me ...they really do.

He's been charged with murder. What a Cunt But they have no evidence yet just gut feeling, they are pinning all there hopes on it being him and MAY get caught out I think the same, he maybe is being made a scapegot, i mean if he is saying nothing, it could be because he know's nothing. Lets hope she is ok

Conviction of murder where there is no body are highly rare, most recent was the dingo eating a baby in Australia. No body makes all evidence circumstance. No doubt he would get a top notch lawyer as they would welcome the publicity. Let's hope they find her, and convict the right person/people

"The police have no evidence, just a gut feeling AND he maybe being made a scapegoat, if he is saying nothing, it could be because he know's nothing" I'm almost speechless at these two comments but I will say that I can never ever remember an indivdual being charged with murder and the alleged victim is then actually found alive! I'm afraid there's zero chance of April being discovered alive

We might not know what evidence the police have BUT they will definately have it!
You don't have many murder convictions without a body because a body is found in the vast majority of cases but a body is not vital for a murder conviction, there are killers serving a prison sentence in the UK yet their victims body still remains undiscovered as in the cases of Danielle Jones, Arlene Fraser and Suzanne Pilley

Just in case anyone's daft enough - any even half sane opinion on this is fine, April Jones jokes won't be. At all. Your mod is a mother.

Conviction of murder where there is no body are highly rare, most recent was the dingo eating a baby in Australia. [/quote]
That was 30 years ago! there has been plenty of cases since then and with modern advances its getting easier to get a conviction without a body.
Earlier this year a man was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Scottish woman Suzanne Pilley, her body has never been found
