Better - Found a pub showing it on the Isle of Wight! I only log on to this board when I'm in the UK. Flying back to Calgary - the world's first green airport - on Thursday, hopefully! Straight back to BC? BA from Heathrow 5.30pm to Calgary (The world's first green airport). Will overnight at the Blackfoot Inn, meeting in the a.m. and then afternoon flight back to Vancouver Friday afternoon.

Ex - Forsbrook Currently - Calgary, Alberta Two other Stokies in the city & one left last year I think. On a one man mission to convert these hockey lovers to the beautiful game, Stoke sometimes make it difficult ;D Ha! Only ever went to one Canucks game - and that was the one that ended in a riot!

Jomtien Thailand. Lived here for 18 months, prior to that Shanghai China for 2 years. Met a few Stokies in China, have met loads here in Thailand, mainly Stoke Exiles but a few from other parts of Europe. Matchdays in local boozer, Shenanigans, we are by far the best supported team, as in wearing colours, we are outnumbered by loyal scum fans from Thai, Malaysia, Singapore, Kent etc etc etc, but never in colours, and even the foreign scum fans have started to explain themselves as to why they support the scum. " Been following them since I was a kid....My dad was a fan...etc etc etc"

No thank you. This is the reason why The Shit are hated so much. To be a Stoke fan you must be born in Stoke IMO. 100% agree. If not born in Stoke then you must have lived in Stoke for a long time or at least have links to SOT or the surrounding area. No one can stop anyone from calling themselves Stoke fans, no one can stop anyone else from coming to the match, and I'm sure none of us would want to , but they will NEVER be Stokies and never be classed as one of us deep down. Being made to feel welcome is one thing but most proper Stoke folk wouldn't see them as 'one of the lads'. Football is tribal and territorial. Its like you walking into a Millwall pub and saying you are a Millwall lad. They would most probably make you feel welcome but they would never truely see you as a 'millwall' . Same at Stoke . . . .We all live under the same sky...... Red and white through and through,...... We are all Stokies. .

You can see almost every Stoke game (Prem games) on TV in the States. If not live, they will usually show the game in full later in the day.

we get every game here live on True Vision, sometimes though it is not on the normal sports channels so you do have to trawl through the Thai Channels to find it, but so far have not missed a game.

StokIE - Stokies In Exile ::: The Google Pushpin MapTemporarily abroad and need a cheese-filled, oat-based snack? Maybe a StokIE can help ... (please phone first! ) Click this ... - Viewing the Map requires you have Google Earth installed
- The "pins" are coloured RED (I don't just throw this stuff together!)
- If you "untick" all other Places in the left menu of Google Earth - Just leaving this set ticked - And then zoom out to about 10-kilometers - You can spin around the global and spot us all quiet easily (or just click on a name in the list)
There's loads more of us away-from-home than this ... So hopefully more of us check in over the next few weeks (before I get bored and forget about it all )I want on this Map!!1. To save me a ton of work ... You must live outside the land-boundaries of England, Scotland and Wales (off the island!) 2. You must specify a TOWN and that town must be recognised by Google (so give me the country too) 3. You must post in THIS thread 4. I'll update the list as-and-when (monthly at worst) 5. Hobos will be banned from listing (if I get fed up of updating you!) So, I need a TOWN from the following people already in the thread:- Gunslinger - Norway
- Eddy - New Zealand
- joseSR - Norway
- Claus_SCFC - Denmark
- nzstokie - New Zealand
- shanghaipotter - Jomtien Thailand (doesn't exist!)
- pinoypotter - Philipines (I don't think that's your little island ... does it have a name?)
And, mistergumby - If I got the placement correct?? - I am jealous as f**k!!!!

No thank you. This is the reason why The Shit are hated so much. To be a Stoke fan you must be born in Stoke IMO. That's bullshit. 20 years ago maybe, but football has become a global game and if you think only locals have the right to support a team, you are wrong. The fact we are now finding Stoke fans in other countries is a sign we are growing and becoming successful and we should embrace it not be archaic. Your comment is prehistoric and hopefully you see a global Stoke City as a positive. Red and White.
