There's been a few car threads, so it's about time for a bike one. I've had a few bikes, but my favourites are: Yamaha RD350 LC (learned to crash on it), RD350 YPVS (learned to ride fast on it), Triumph Bonneville 750 (learned to be a mechanic) ;D. All pains in the arse to own but the best of times too.

Honda C90 Stepthru. Brilliant commuting bike from the 1970s. Once rode it from Plymouth to Portsmouth when I was in navy.

GPz500s FZR400SP CBR600 CBR400RR Gullarm '96 Fireblade VFR 750
Not ridden for five years and really miss it.
GPz was a bag of crap, but I still loved it. I the CBR 600 was too dull for words, but the Gullarm was my favourite. Shame it was just a little bit too small, otherwise it was perfect.

Nice bike history pretzel. Notice You had BMW's after the two strokes and Triumphs. Coincidence? Lol. Not sure what you're getting at there Peter I got the R75 because I'd always fancied a BMW to see what the hype was all about. It was a nice bike on a motorway but the slower you rode it, the worse it got. It was dreadfull on twisty country roads and once in town it was a nightmare and I understood why some people called them the Teutonic tractor. I got talking to a traffic cop outside Oakwell, after the Barnsley FA cup replay all those years ago and asked him how he managed to get a smooth gear change out of the German twin. He smiled and asked me to let him know if I ever found out. In short, the BMW was not amongst the better bikes I've ridden and the only mystery was why I bought another.

I always remember the Derbyshire old bill escorting the coaches after a league cup game at Chesterfield. Police bikes were Norton rotaries, very rapid machines. Also remember a guy during the early 90s, who would ride to away games on an MZ 125. used to see him all over the place. Rather him than me lol.

We've got a xv 535's which are a good donor bike and they are cheap , better than buying a pre made frame and far less expensive in the long run They can pretty much be made out of anything by simply cutting the frame down at the back a single seat, small rear mudguard and different handle bars is the main starting point Have a butchers at this www.custom-choppers-guide.com/build-a-bobber.html We've got a xv 535's which are a good donor bike and they are cheap , better than buying a pre made frame and far less expensive in the long run They can pretty much be made out of anything by simply cutting the frame down at the back a single seat, small rear mudguard and different handle bars is the main starting point Have a butchers at this www.custom-choppers-guide.com/build-a-bobber.html

Suzuki TS 50 Suzuki GS 250 Honda CB650z Kawasaki Z650 Honda CB900 f1 Kawasaki ZX7r FJ1100 lowrider chop
The CB650z wins the reliability prize
The ZX7r wins the high performance prize
And the prize for my personal favourite, best looking, attention grabber, and for its awesome grinfactorability (which is a real word... maybe) goes to the FJ chop. Just loved it. Id still be riding that now but my back and hardtail chops dont get on well anymore !!
