Remember the good times mate, I'm sure he'll still hold them dear too. It's a pity Stoke couldn't do something like Man City do at Christmas where everyone is asked to honour a minutes silence to remember fellow supporters who have passed on. My mum, Iris, was a massive Stoke fan all her life and passed away this May. It'd be a nice way to honour the fans who we once stood shoulder to shoulder with. This is a nice idea. Simple, costs nothing and is a great gesture Only trouble is could everyone be trusted to keep their mouths shut for 60 seconds , considering how many pissed up pricks we have in the stands Everybody has lost somebody special over the years whether you are a Stoke fan or the oppostion. I have been at Man City when they have done this and it is respected by both sets of fans. Far better idea than handshakes and multiple minutes silences throughout the season. One catch all minutes silence on either the Boxing Day-or New Year home fixture is the way to go for me.

R.I.P Grandad. But at least, he had the pleasure of being and dying a Stokie. Something that not everyone is blessed with.
