Everton looked a fine side in the first half!
What a goal by Anichebe. I am surprised we haven't tried to get him before now. I quite like what I have seen of him but he always seems to pick up an injury to hamper his progress.

Toon have looked pretty poor to me. And yet they will keep getting these kind of results!
Helped in no small part by the type of defending seen for their second goal, of course.

I think in 25 years time he will be cordoned off like a Coventry doss house in the 60s as the army diffuse that knee.

Great match, probably definitely should have finished 3 or 4-2 to Everton though.

Hoof, head, shot, goal.
Perfect football.
You can see why TP was so interested in Ba.

It was a great game to watch, just like us vs. Man City.
I watched some of Arse vs Saints at the weekend. The Arse played some lovely football but it was so one-sided that, as a match, it was just boring. You need games between evenly-matched teams to make for great spectacle.

Disgusting behaviour whatever the excuse he's likely to come out with. Can't see him making the bench anytime soon after that.

Doesn't anyone think Howard could have done better with Ba's first? Seemed to be slo-mo! That said, 2 good goals chalked off, friggin hate watching Pardew giving it large in the stand!!

Thing with Ba's first is he hit to so quick before Howard had positioned himself. Great striking.

Everton should have been four up by halftime Two good goals disallowed Pardew’s nous to change it (to Pullis ball) Demba Ba That’s why we watch it and Sky are rich.

If Ba played for Man Utd he'd be scoring for fun every week, he was scoring freely then pardew got above his station and decided to play that Cisse in his role. Class act, shame about the knees though stand back everybody and put your safety goggles on. Anybody else think we over exaggerated the knee problem to get a cheaper deal and shot ourselves in the foot?

great game. Everton very unlucky not to win.
One thing it definitely showed is that us (and Liverpool!!) are some distance behind these two clubs in terms of midfield and attack. Something to strive for as other than those two, arse, chels, man city, man utd, and spurs, we are up there with the best of the rest I think, although liverpool, sunderland and fulham may be slightly better. We will do very well to finish top half this season and the mid table teams seem to be getting better.

Obviously 'castle were very lucky to come away with a point, but when you've got players like Ba, Cisse and Ben Arfur in your side you've always got a chance. Where's Tiote by the way? ??? Factoid of the day, all four are practicing Muslims.

Common knowledge.
