to be fair the contents of what he actually says is not as bad as the headline makes out. They do expect that better plays will evolve the style of play.
I just wonder if it means the formation will never change. If not then I doubt we will get the best out of Adam (locked in a cage) and Owen (mama role)

We were promised “evolution not revolution” by Pulis years ago.
I was under the impression that “evolution” required “change”; and for the better.
The next few months will be very telling.

That's a weird article. Sounds like Kemp doesn't have the first inkling what we're going to do! Then he goes off on a tangent that is at best delusional about it all being a big media fabrication based around the throw. Then the inevitable spectre of Cameron at right back. Hopefully it's a fairly meaningless article and there's every chance we will change to accommodate the new signings rather than just assuming they will slot straight in and bring changes of their own accord.

Makes those whinging arseholes at Wigan look like twats when you realise that Adam hadn't even trained with us and was therefore rightly on the bench.

"We have changed anyway. We weren't as bad as people made out. I think the long throw allowed our detractors to jump on that bandwagon, but we don't really have a long throw now."
Yeah, 5 years on we're still proud of consistently laying claim to the worst passing stats in the league.

I could understand why TP decided to go with Whelan and Cameron as part of the starting line-up, both were a big part of the solid performance against Arsenal the previous week, but a club of our stature can't afford to leave a player of Adam's quality on the bench. If he had started against Wigan there is no doubt in my mind that his presence would of brought another 10-15% out of the rest of the team and we would have won the game.

He's a drastic improvement on the midfielders we had available to us at the time. The first 30 minutes against Wigan was embarrassing, you can't deny that his arrival changed the game!

Jerome was the real changer for me, Adam did alright but he wasn't the best midfielder on the day.

I haven't really been online for the past 10 days or so but I thought Adam looked brilliant when he came on against Wigan. Up until the point he came on, I thought we were utterly dire and it looked like being a long afternoon again (ala Arsenal at home).
When he came on he seemed to have an urgency about what he was doing and always eager to get the ball into people in dangerous areas in and around the box. He seemed to drive us on.
And there was me thinking he was shit. Shows what I know.

I thought his arrival completely changed the complexion of the game, we looked much more creative when we had Adam who was willing to get on the ball and try and make things happen. Completely agree regarding Jerome by the way, it's amazing how much more dangerous we look when you have a bit of pace up front! I just wish that he would be given a decent run of games but I doubt he will niw that Owen has come in.

Also Whelan looked ten times better working alongside Adam in my opinion

He is a professional footballer, how hard can it be for him to step into a 4-4-1-1 , a tony Pulis 4-4-1-1 it's a bout as basic as it gets. You really do make yourself look a tool sometimes, you and Tazi are like 2 city boys lost outback, finding a canoe with one paddle and then attempting to paddle it upstream instead of downstream. I'd love you pair to take an IQ test. ;D

I remember a few years back we fielded a team on the opening day of the season when the players had literally just met, we won 4-0 so what is your point Momo?

I think it may of been against Sheffield Wednesday, if you have a way of finding out SCFC's opening day scorelines for the last 10 years ofr so you should see it. I remember Praise & Grumble that night and everybody saying if that's how they start wait until they gel...

Kemp's comments are quite promising, especially when you consider Pulis had hinted Adam may have to be caged.
"When you have players of that quality you have to use their talents, and we will do."
If they fulfil that promise, none of us will complain.

I'm sure it was 4 but it may of been 3, it was a while ago, we were struggling for money and we literally signed half a team at the last minute and they all started the same match. Pretty sure Darrell russell was in the team. I'd be interested to know the last 10 years opening day scores if anyone knows..

OK, for the life of me I can't remember an opening day 4 - 0 win, I remember 4 - 0 at Leeds once. Under Pulis that was though.
