He's playing in the back, but the announcers said that Cameron said he was being deployed as a holding midfielder for Stoke. Decent game so far

I'm sitting in a hotel bar in Daytona Beach watching this....Cameron appears to be playing at CB.
Having a good game too!

Seems very composed when a player is running at him!
Also was mentioned he wouldn't be playing this week because of Visa problems...didn't know nothing about this ???

0-0 at the half, and given the under-strength team and the venue, that's pretty impressive. Cameron has looked excellent at the back ("outstanding half" in the words of the commentator). Some decent battles with Hernandez - we'll see that soon enough again in the Prem.
(Also, in ESPN's promo ad for its upcoming premier league coverage, the Crouch goal features prominently. I think it's the only highlight in the ad that wasn't a "big club" moment.)

Mexico is the better team so far at the half, ... and with Mexico on the attack so much, Cameron is very visible and has done well for himself.

They brought out the gold medal squad - presume the fireworks were to do with that.

Wonderful headed clearance from about 3-4 yards out by Cameron. Plus a bonus Pulis mention.
Meanwhile, some dick is shining a laser light thingy in Howard's eyes. Stay classy, Mexico.

1-0 US! 10 mins to go. Now for Cameron to continue the stalwart defending.

And the US wins! First time ever down there. Only a friendly, but this is a pretty damned big deal for the game in the States. And loved the fact that our guy was arguably MOTM (Howard was also outstanding - couple of impossible saves).
Great win, great performance from Cameron. Also, he shouldn't be intimidated by the likes of Old Trafford and Anfield, if he can deal with this place.

I thought they were talking about the wait before he could play for us whilst his work permit was being sorted - well it is sorted now and that is why he got clearance to play for us in Germany.

Looks like Cameron had a great game - here is the minute by minute live text... I like this comment on 24mins - never seen the phrase used before in football.. '' Another US move breaks down in the final third and Mexico break quickly. Hernandez tries to do a little fancy footwork tormenting of Cameron, but the Stoke man stands firm, in the idiom of Stoke men..'' www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/aug/16/mexico-usa-live
