Clueless manager taking wingers off. Same old story!! The wingers and strikers cover the most ground. So surely then need to be looked after more? Anybody can give away a pen at any time. How many psychics genuinely thought Whitehead would give away a pen in the 90th minute?

We'll definitely struggle to survive. Combination Whelan and Whitehead still our CM and Wilkinson still our RB...it's a Disaster.

Looking at our fixtures coming up i think we needed to win as we could see ourselves in the bottom three.
We had a great chance to walk away with three points against an extreme useless Reading side with little to no quality.
We were comfortable and in control, Deano was a walking time bomb from the first minute and everyone saw that he should have came off. All it needed was a straight swap and carry on as we were with them showing little threat or idea going forward.
Instead what we did was keep the ticking time bomb on, remove the player causing them threeats, overload the midfield and sit back defending. The outcome was like many times over the years, we get put under so much pressure due to letting them have all the attack that we soon crack.
Clearly a simple lesson not learnt after all this time.

Would have taken a point before kick off. Just so annoying when we can all see what is going to happen...it's like a car crash in slow motion. Still good news with Whitehead suspended...every cloud.

A shit game that probably deserved a draw but TP had a shocker with his subs. We are always poor away from home and will hopefully add a few players in the next couple of weeks but Reading were awful and they will struggle to get many points this season IMO.

TP just had to drag the players away from the referee. He's been toss today, so many niggly fouls for nothing. We really need a better option than Jerome. Every time he comes on we have to shift to 4-5-1 to make up for his ineffectiveness. Oh, and was it just me that noticed that the goal came from Delap and Walters moving to the right for the throw-in, leaving the left exposed due to Jerome? Jerome isn't a winger though, square pegs, round holes bollocks again. It costs us. Like a poster above TP sometimes just doesn't help himself sometimes. It feels like we've lost.

How many psychics genuinely thought Whitehead would give away a pen in the 90th minute? No nobody could predict that would happen. That said an awful lot could predict we would remove any attacking threat and invite pressure on for 15 minutes while we sit back and defend. Also an awful lot could predict we would crack and let a goal in. The fact the guy who gave the penalty away was the guy who looked like he was going to be sent off from about 5 mins in and never got to a tackle in time from then on.

We really need to capitalise on superiority by scoring more goals instead of sitting back and relying on defenders to keep us in the game. TBH their goal should have been nothing more than a consolation. Instead it was an undeserved equaliser and 2 points down the drain.

Lack of discipline and lack of organisation. We didn't look like a team at all last 15 minutes. No-one to take charge on the pitch, calm things and play others in.
Wilko, Whelan and Whitehead passing was atrocious. Wilson skinned too often by their sub.
Yes I would have accepted a draw but we have just thrown this away with brainless play when we were cruising !!!!

We were going good until Pulis made defensive subs, it's as simple as that, i'll never understand why we feel the need to change the whole system to defend a one goal lead instead of trying to push on for more goals

Agree with a lot of what's said. Subs were really poor. We were on top until Kightly was substituted. Whelan and Whitehead are not starting midfielders in this league. End of. If we are going to get anybody new in the next two weeks, it has to be a starting midfielder. Cameron at Midfield or RB?
It could have been worse. Harte's free kick could have been six inches lower. That's a positive, I guess.

Wasnt the refs fault for us shutting up shop on 75 minutes. Wasnt the refs fault for keeping a player on who was late to every challenge and deserved his sending off. Wasnt the refs fault for giving a penalty away. Also if you think we shift to 4-5-1 to make up for Jeromes ineffectiveness then i really give up with football fans. He's put on to play 4-5-1 not changing to 4-5-1 to accomodate him. Jesus wept.

At the end of the day, we played some decent stuff, Kightly had a great debut, and we got a point. Not the end of the world, in fact I'd say it looks promising.

How many more times will we have these same discussions about throwing points away due to parking the bus with 15 minutes to go?
It's been the same since his return with no signs of change. I generally dont think the bloke is intelligent enough to realise it doesn't work.
Im not even angry or worked up, he does a sterling job of destroying any passion i can muster.

I just hope this yank comes straight in to the side. Whelan and Whitehead aren't good enough and palacios just doesn't fit.

No doubt the happy clappers will come on and tell us a point was a good result.
They were as if not the worst team i've seen in the Premier League since we got promoted. They were truly awful and filled with average players that will struggle to stay out the bottom three.
Also at what point is a draw not good enough, when is it ok to expect this £90 million squad to win a game?

Every time, after 5 minutes of painful ineffectiveness that allows the opposition back into the game, we have to switch to 4-5-1 with Jerome out wide where he hampers our chances a bit less and an extra man in the middle. The same happened today. He's useless and needs selling. Massive waste of money.
