If you think this place is full of utter shit like this thread now just you wait until the season starts. The Pulis haters have been waiting for fucking years to twist the knife and couldn’t even shut their traps when we were in a Cup Final or Europe belittling very, very, historic achievements.

Ha, all the abuse I got when I started exactly this thread a couple of weeks ago, how much reasoned debate now  ;D tbh I think it would depend if we're looking doomed in the bottom 3 or just on an obviously unlucky run - doomed and I would hope PC would be brave enough to make the move. The second half of last season just was very, very poor, we have to be realistic about this. If it's not turned around fast we really do have problems. A few weeks ago I did suggest a pinned thread for this kind of thing as it occurs on an almost daily basis. If we are bottom by the time the cockerel crows for the third time should Pulis be sacked. If we are bottom when Santa visits should Pulis be sacked. If we are in the bottom 3 when the planets align should Pulis be sacked. And so on. A permanent thread would make it far easier for the various factions to conduct their Pulis sparring in a more controlled arena. |

If Coates decided to sell up tommorow, this club would be right up shit street and the reason for that is Pulis is papering over the cracks season upon season with expensive wallpaper instead of using any creativity and sealing the cracks.

(That IS down to TP) Some people like to belittle every achievement TP makes. But nobody can argue that the Premier League is the place to be. |

So why do you continue to pay pugs? Sounds like you've got your head screwed on... Next you will be telling us that our 2 time player of the year would be a poor signing. Coz I support Stoke City and have been for 28 years. As I have said before, I think Pulis has performed generally well in the transfer market. He has made mistakes but who hasn't. Lately though, even a complete tool wouldn't have a level of concern about the type of players he is signing i.e. older players with no resale value. |

We will bring in some fresh faces over the summer (a winger and full back should be the priority) and we will have a solid looking team in place which will be better than last year. |

by moving forward i mean attracting decent players to the club AND more importantly playing them in the positions they are used to.I am not so superficial to think that we are going to win the bloody league but for gods sake enough is enough from this fella,and also just saying dont go dont go is very sad but not as sad as having a season season ticket and NOT going because you cannot stand the tripe served up and the ridiculous comments that come out of his mouth,you may get taken in by him but i'm sorry mate i dont!.He gets paid shit loads of dollar and has spent shit loads of dollar for us to have a decent squad that plays a style of football that is more in tune with todays modern game,in that respect we are about 20 years behind thats what i mean by moving forward.
4 years in the prem is enough with TP he cannot bring this club in footballing terms forward.

I agree with the broader sentiment Momo, (it has got a bit daft on here), but it's hard to deny who really belittled a 'very, very, historic opportunity' in Europe.
I think folks are entitled to begrudge surrender in Europe in lieu of that shite we had to watch domestically...

I think folks are entitled to begrudge surrender in Europe in lieu of that shite we had to watch domestically... The surrender in Spain got all the stick it deserved ruts. However, there are plenty knocking about on here, including some of the guardians of this board who consider our FA Cup run to be diminished because we had an easy draw (despite playing four top flight clubs and two top of the league teams from lower down) and who also consider the likes of Kiev and Besiktas to be pub sides who we should have cruised past. |

After a quarter of a century in the wilderness a breathless, breathtaking sojourn: 5 years in the Prem, 12 games in Europe, even an FA Cup Final for heavens sake, taking points off some of world footballs biggest guns, a full and pulsating stadium, hope and expectation so real you can almost touch it.
I for one will always be grateful and I just can't believe the crock of shit posted on this thread from those with an agenda. I know in life some people always know best and being somehow proved 'right' is more important to them than Stoke City FC but some of it really is tiresome, intellectually and morally bankrupt horse shit.
