All this talk of Wilshire and this "injury" that just keeps going on and on and will end when he's served his ban for being a very naughty boy with some very naughty illegal substances.
Not my thoughts but the message i got from a Gooner friend from darn sarf, well covered up by the top brass at the fa and the arse.

What it does mean is that we're relying on Scott Parker, who's been out injured, as our midfield anchor, and we have no back up.

note the added comment 'total football'
I just bet that news has rattled around the training camps of Spain - Portugal - West Germany - Italy etc etc who are all reportedly, 'breathing hefty sighs of relief '
or perhaps more accurately saying, Gareth who ?

I think everyone's accepted that we're not going to do anything at this tournament. Haven't seen anyone proclaiming we're world beaters.

I'd guess Jones, Jagielka or Milner would come in or we'd have to ask Gerrard to sit which is a little scary. Then again i don't rate Barry at all so i wouldn't be any more worried with any of the above. Barry's shit and serves absolutely no purpose.

He's had a very decent season with Citeh and I firmly believe that no team wins a title with a passenger in the team. He's no world beater but he's a steady enough water carrier. He was rightly in the squad and might be more of a miss than a lot of people imagine, as damning as that sounds. That said, I'd have taken Carrick as well, who does the same kind of thing and has also had a decent season.

To judge his performance on one missed chance is ridiculous to say the least. That's his problem though, especially at international level, you don't get many chances and his conversion rate is poor. So Jagielka for Barry. Nice!
