Why is he a cunt? Do you know him? I have had the pleasure of his company a few times yes, all during his first spell with us as I was good friends with a member of his coaching team. I also get to know about some of the things that go on behind the scenes and my opinion is that Pulis is a horrible, vindictive bastard, who will stop at nothing to prove his point. All of that is irrelevant when it comes to discussing the job that he has done for our club. He can be a c**t but his is our c**t. The fact remains, that in my opinion, and back on track with the thread, Pulis would have little or no interest in Fernandes and his 2 performances v us wouldn't have even registered. We certainly haven't been back to watch him or monitor him since. Whether that is because we know he would be out of our reach or whether it is because we wouldn't be interested in such a player is open to debate. The answer is probably a "bit of both". Is that an OK enough answer for you apologists and thought police??? EDIT - foxy...I didn't realise that poster had to make every post a literary masterpiece! For me, Pulis has reached the end of his natural Stoke City lifespan and he needs to go. The sooner the better in my opinion. We have a big summer ahead and if we get it wrong again, as we did last summer, then serious questions need to be asked and ultimately answered. I've never met him which puts you in a stronger position....... .......but......... ........I have heard good stuff about him from people who met him/know people ho kow him. I suppose what some see as vindictive and petty others see as justified and part of being a good football manager. PS I don't expect a literary masterpiece but some alliteration would be nice........cock-sucking c*** maybe?

Seeing as you managed to moan Pulis on a thread exclusively about an overseas player is a classic. And you can't see anything wrong with that ;D ;D ;D Hilarious stuff. I would have thought it would have been easy to see why he brought Tony Pulis into the thread. Well it would be if you didn't have you're head stuck up our managers ringpiece. No, there is no reason whatsoever for this dreary nonsense. It is shameful. And personal abuse tells the entire message board far more about you than anything else you will ever type.

No, there is no reason whatsoever for this dreary nonsense. It is shameful. And personal abuse tells the entire message board far more about you than anything else you will ever type. I believe there is every reason for fans to question whether our manager would be interested in signing a player such as Fernandes. So when a thread like this appears it is obvious and fully justified that someone is going to mention the fact that Pulis probably won't be in the market for this type of footballer for all the wrong reasons. After 4 seasons in the premier league we are still stuck with a championship standard central midfield pairing so why shouldn't fans question this? Perhaps Dave goes a little over the top calling Pulis a c**t but he raises a lot of valid points in his arguments.

How quaresma isn't playing for a team like madrid or munich is beyond me. He was incredible. played for barca and was wank played for chelsea and was wank played for inter and was wank will be a good player in an average team but cant make the step up to anything better sadly So he suits being the big fish in a small pond, he looked a very good player against us. I'd say our pond is small enough but good footballers need freedom to play, something they rarely get under our manager.

Hopefully this will be merged with the other thread as that second video in particular is ace.
I know any player can look good on YouTube etc but he looked class against us as well, and never mind a replacement for Ric in terms of skill, he looks an upgrade on him, and exactly what our midfield is crying out for.
Would be fucking amazing on a free, we should give him a transfer fee's worth of signing on bonus to get him.

"He's even played in the Premier League"
Has he? I thought we had previously established that it wasn't the same guy that was previously on loan at Everton. Am I mistaken?
EDIT - looking at the WIKI timeline of his career, I clearly must have dreamt that particular fact. Interesting about his failure to sign for Everton but the money that they were seemingly willing to spend on him.
In the 2 Besiktas games, he was the best player on the pitch and by far and away the best player that I have seen this season in any team. If there was any way we could land his signature, I might just start looking forward to next season!
As previously mentioned, it won't happen!

He played for Everton and Pompey. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manuel_Fernandes_(footballer_born_1986)Are you sure you've met Tony Pulis, or are you mistaken?

SSV - I have two very basic rules in life as follows; Rule 1 - I am ALWAYS right Rule 2 - When I am wrong, see Rule 1 On the basis that Fernandes has played in the Premier League and even played for TP's mate 'arry Redknapp, I take everything back and will willingly accept that TP will know all about Fernandes. He still won't try to sign him though!

I would love to see a player of this ilk pulling the string in the centre of midfield. Absolute class when he played against us at the Brit earlier on in the season. He took the piss out of our centre midfield.

He actually is rather excellent isn't he? How old is he now?
It's a wonder Prem teams aren't queuing up but maybe he doesn't fancy it over here again.

From the looks of the lad though, you would think he would have his pick of a lot of top clubs?

Awesome player. For this guy to work we'd need a change in approach. Passing the ball out of defense - point 1. Breaking the cage - point 2. Playing with a quick striker on the shoulder of the last man - point 3. Sounds like a no-goer!

Fernandes would be an incredible signing, unfortunately I think there are a lot of teams that would be interested.
