I have been to Costa Rica.
It's pricey to get there but it's an incredible country.
It's got everything, beaches, mountains, rainforests, stunning wildlife, volcano's, coffee plantations, great whitewater rafting, good and cheap beer, Cuba Libre's (!), stunning senorita's (!), and it's generally very cheap.
San Jose's a bit of a tip but other than that...........oh, and it's the only Central American country with no military cos they're that friendly.

I used to be active in a Columbus Crew supporter group and I was stunned when I got the e-mail stating Stoke were coming to town. Never thought I would see the day.
It's a three hour jaunt for me and I'm fairly certain I'll be there. This just made my summer.
Judging by the few responses I have seen on Facebook and the Crew forum on Bigsoccer, this isn't going to be popular with the locals. I could care less. Stoke are returning to Ohio.
I would love to see some sort of tailgate party (pre-match drinking and eating in the car park) come together for Stoke supporters. You might as well take in the essence of Major League Soccer while you're here. I'm sure those of us in Ohio can throw something together closer to the date.
I imagine the attendance for this one will be fewer than 10,000...maybe closer to 5,000 if the Crew continue to tank. Getting an organized Stoke support group together would be fun, but they don't segregate fans for these sorts of events. Usually away fans who have bought tickets elsewhere in the stadium find their way to the usually empty South End and set up shop there.
If any of you have any questions about the Crew or the stadium, just ask.

Oh and another thing, the Crew just signed former Port Vale midfielder Chris Birchall this week. Now that would be something if he was still with the team in July.

KKKrew! Even though it's the shittiest ground in the league, the shittiest support in the league, the shittiest town in the league, I'll definitely be going.

Sounds like there's at least 5 of us then I'll be working until 5.30 so it's a quick 90 mile drive to make it for kick off. I'll take a look at my holidays to see if i can swing a day or 1/2 day off. Holidays are looking full though with my second due next Friday and family over in August...

I'll be coming from Baltimore. I'd love to see if we could set up a meet up a time to meet before or after so that all the Stoke supporters who'll be coming out can meet.

Good to see the club pushing our brand further afield.
Maybe we'll have a game against Orlando?

Yeah - can't see us going there and not having a game agaisnt Orlando.
Interestingly, Newcastle had a 3-game tour there last summer - and played Columbus, Kansas AND Orlando.
So it wouldn't be a shock to see the Orlando game announced soon.
All this travel and no settled base doesn't sound like a very Pulis-friendly itinerary.

Maybe this one's been pushed by Coates as part of our marketing strategy? It will make a nice change for the players anyway instead of playing Aldershot and Newport WMC.

Thing is...as we saw in Valencia...Pulis's idea of a reserve team ie Pennant, Jerome, Arismendi, Palacios, Fuller, Cuvelier, is a far better and more exciting team to watch...so I wont be complaining

No way in a million years that Stoke will do a North american tour without including a game at Orlando. Rawlins owns the franchise and Adrian Heath is manager isn't he? Orlando would suit me better than the other two. I can get direct flights down there.

I'm well up for it but surprised not more have said they will go. The football is just an excuse to go. Flights are pricey mind from the UK, Orlando being the only realistic option unless you want to pay a grand to Columbus.
