Judging by the coverage on theit official site, it'll definitely be a first team squad trip.
Wonder whether it'll be part of a wider tour, and where it leaves the annual Austrian trip?

Bet it will be a 2 or 3 game tour, surely. Can't see stoke travelling out for one match. Maybe a game against orlando too?

This report from a few weeks ago mentions the possibility of a game in Costa Rica as well. Doesn't sound a very Pulis-friendly pre-season, with all this travel and no altitude. You wouldn't think he'd be happy unless he got his week running them up Austrian hills. www.everardoherrera.com/index.php/futbol-internacional/90-futbol-internacional/8966-el-stoke-city-vendria-a-costa-rica-en-junio-proximo.htmlTo strengthen relations with Uruguay Coronado of the Costa Rican League, Stoke City will become the first Premier League club in England to visit the Central American country in mid-year.
According to Paulo Cesar Wanchope, the Costa Rican team manager, the British would use their visit to the US to also be in Costa Rica during their pre-season between the months of June and July.
"They will be in season in the US. and indeed wanted to come by and play some games . It would be interesting, was the report I gave the representative, who wanted to take the trip to Jose is integrated into the practices and games and why not see the possibility that they may come to Costa Rica too, "said Wanchope to www.everardoherrera.com.
Notably, the Stoke City is very interested in the Uruguay defender of Coronado, Jose Mora.

Maybe Tone has found a bigger hill? He's probably had our scouts out scouring the world for the best places for hillside training in the world. To mix it up this year they'll spend a week in each country testing that countries hillsides for training.

The Costa Rica thing is baffling. As far as I can tell (using google) no European team has ever been for a preseason game there. Are there the types of facilities that Tone would be looking for?
The team managed by Wanchope (who may or may not be the Derby County dude) play in a ground with a capacity of 2,500 and don't even play in the Costa Rican top division.

I've always fancied going to Costa Rica. I like the fact they all have crazy English names like Winston Kendall, Patrick Pemberton, Jonathan McDonald and Roy Miller..................

Was fortunate or might be say unfortunate to see Stoke lose 3-1 against Tampa Bay Rowdies in 1984. It could have been a few more as well. I was staying with friends in Orlando at the time. Roy Wegerlie was playing for the Rowdies before he went onto either QPR or Chelsea. Sadly not going to make this trip as it is during a busy work period for myself

If they are doing a trip to the US you would imagine Rawlins would have them playing a game against Orlando? I'll be in so long as there is an airport nearby
