The only thing that will get those stats going in the right direction is a new manager

Interesting winger stats.
Where are Bale, Young, Nani, Lennon, Johnson and suchlike hiding?
Are we saying that we wouldn't swap ours for any of those?
Are we saying that those wouldn't have made a difference to our team whatsoever?

Statistics are not required. You have only had to watch to know the football on offer has been absolutely shite and excitement free!

I guess the good news is that, even without these stats, it's very clear where we need to improve! And we can only get better! Surely, the good news is that despite these aweful stats, and given the shite we've played at times - we're still going to finish in the middle of the Premiership!!

Given the stats and the shite we've played it amasing that we will finish well clear of relegation. I'm still not sure how we've done this? Won a few games at just the right time? Had some luck? Played poor teams at just the right time? It certainly isn't the quality of our football that has kept us up!

On the winger stats , how is an accurate cross defined , because if it just means it found a player that's not the whole story , surely the key thing for a winger is to get the ball into dangerous areas ie across the six yard box not just looped into the whole penalty area and for a forward to attack the ball. I think our problem is that with the possible exception of Crouch, Huth and Shawcross no one attacks the ball and even then the latter two are only there for set plays . Therefore its easier for defences and surprise surprise we don't score many goals.

Partly because no one attacks the ball or there's no one there to attack the ball because are players are so deep and often when they do get into good positions they're static and easy to mark. I swear our corner routine was more effective when we had Higgy in the team peeling away to the back stick and causing a bit of chaos in the mixer.

It's these 2 that take your breath away... What's even more concerning to me is the blaze, 'everything is rosy' attitude of the TP machine. QUOTE: "I think when people look back on the season in a few years' time, they will see it as one of the most memorable ones in the club's 149-year history." Tony Scholes, May 9th, 2012 Mindnumbing.

If Scoles was only talking about the Euro games then he might be on to something.

Obviously the following table is more than just crossing and is for total assists but our boys are holding some pretty lofty company here and considering how little game time Jermaine has had, then his stats are certainly impressive.
