Anyone can look good against Walters and when faced with Fuller, Collocini has been torn apart which is probably why he doesn't merit a mention. We aren't deluded though pal. The opening poster might be, but the majority aren't. Newcastle, however they have done it, have built a very good side and have some excellent players throughout the team. Fair play to the Cockney Mafia. They have save your club and improved it 10 fold in the process!

Newcastle are always likely to attract bigger and better players but, for the money they've spent, most of their signings shit all over ours.
That said, if we'd have tried to sign Cabaye, Cisse or Ben Arfa then I don't think we'd have stood a chance of getting them. Newcastle are just a bigger and better club who have spent brilliantly. Pulis could learn a lot from the way they've gone about things.

As most Stoke fans have already pointed out, your deluded. A lot of our quality players have been mentioned in this thread already but you've all missed out the best. Fabricio Collocini. There's a reason he's in the Premier League team of the year and is in a different class to Ryan Shawcross. Can't believe none of your lot have mentioned Colo yet. Okay I will mention him... he is average. Look back to when our geriatric knees of a 80 year old Ricardo Fuller ripped him to shreds last season for starters.... there are a dozen better centre backs than Colo. The rest however are class and Pardews attacking philosophy takes the pressure of the defence.

They are streets ahead of us. Ba, Cisse, Cabaye, Tiote Guttierez, Krul, Santon, Ben Arfa even Coloccini has finally adapted to the Prem. Like many have said, they have one of the best midfields in the league, one of the best young keepers and arguably the best front two in the league. If they do some work on the defence in the summer i honestly think they can mount a title challenge.

How often do you seriously watch Newcastle? I'll lead you to this thread on our Forum.... www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,83579.3575.html?PHPSESSID=30u5bu5trtv30n0vt1ivl3s316 I think you'll find out the fans opinion on a player we watch every week. He is in an absolute different class to most centre backs and to be realistic, theres only a few as good as him. He's managed to get in the Premier League team of the year this season, and that's some mighty effort considering the Southern bias when picking those teams. Not just his footballing ability but is character and leadership on then pitch in his first season as captain has led me to think he's probably the best centre half I've seen at the club in my 20 odd years going. It may be the case that you don't see him enough and still actually rate him on his first season in the Premier League (admit it was poor) but the three seasons since then he's been unbelievable. Probably have legend status at our club by the time he leaves. The one player I really don't want us to lose as he'd be irreplaceable.
