Seen a couple of shouts for "The Queen is dead" Personally i think "Strangeways here we come" was a better album and "The Smiths" was better than both. Any early Bowie, Hunky Dory, ziggy Stardust and the spiders from mars, Aladin sane. "Boat to Bolivia" by Martin Stephenson "Independant story" by new model army "chasing after ghosts" by the crookes

Some crackers in there. If you're doing Elton then Goodbye Yellow Brick Road must feature ;D They played the full 10/11 minutes of Funeral for a friend/ Love lies bleeding last week on the radio - it still sounds immense ;D

Stood the test of time pretty well too! Have Mercy on the Criminal probably just sways it for Dont Shoot Me album for me, though theres some standout tracks on YBR album, not least of all the title track!

Agree in both respects, probably my favourite EJ song though is Skyline Pigeon, with honourable mention for Blues for my Baby and Me and Tiny Dancer
