Speedway season is with us again. Hopefully the Potters will be amongst the honours again. Hope people who haven't been before or for a long time might be tempted to attend. I know it's only the national league, but a decent team is coming together and I'm sure it'll be as enjoyable as last year. Always a healthy showing of Stoke shirts at Loomer Road, and you can even drink your beer on the terraces, ah memories lol.

i used to be a big fan and a regular at loomer road in the 80's and 90's and occaisional visitor in the last 10 years. we allways used to have a strong home team but never did much away from home [sounds familiar?] have great memories of bootsy collins, nigel crabtree, jones, carr, i was there to see us win the four team tournemant. but and this makes me sad i will not pay to see lower league speedway, i believe stoke speedway made a misstake in dropping out on the premier league, into what is essentially a youth league. i know attendances were dwindling but that was because the team was not winning, get a strong home line up and the faces would have returned. i hope i am back on the terraces very soon but it would have to be top flight speedway [well ok its actually div 2]

Speedway is in a slow decline and it needs it's fans to rally. It was genuinely enjoyable last year after the shambles of 2010. The seeds for re-entry to the premier are present IMO. Give it a go and see how you feel fella.
