Hopefully that will mean he will be missing from Saturday's starting line-up. TP doesn't normally need too much excuse to leave Whelan out after he has been on international duty so hopefully the stubborn Welshman will apply the same rules to Walters on Saturday, particularly given how tired he has been of late!

Looks like he only played 20 minutes, though. And he's probably on his way home already. You'd think it'd take something more exhausting to even give him a decision to make with one of his favourites?
Palacios looks to be starting in their friendly in Ecuador, kicking off in about 30 minutes.
Alienación d'Honduras:N.Valladares; O.Chavez, B.Beckeles, J.Leverón, Figueroa; W.Palacios, García, Espinoza, E.Izaguirre; A.Lozano, J.Bengtso
So with him spending most of tomorrow getting back, doubtful Tone will even stick him on the bench against Norwich?

You've gutted me now Fullermagic. 20 fucking minutes. That Trappatoni hasn't got a clue. Does he not realise how good Walters is?
I was hoping Walters played 90 minutes meaning that Pulis leaves him out, starts with Fuller alongside Crouch, we batter Norwich and by pure luck, Pulis stumbles on the right team to see us through the rest of the season.
Lord - I can see Pulis seeing some merit in the Crouch/Jones combination. He did try it, kind of, at Fulham. Surprised he hadn't tried it before then in all honesty.

WP looks tired after 10 mins on the pitch, never mind after a game and knackering flight back from South America.

Sadly I agree with your comment re Ric, Lord.
An absolute travesty if he is allowed to slip out of the door in the way that Abdy and Lawrence did.
I will struggle to forgive Pulis for Valencia away and the lack of subs but if he lets Ric go with a wimper, I will never ever forgive him.
Ric deserves better and when he goes, we deserve the chance to send him off like the hero he is.

One of the lads from work is in Ecuador now & flies back tomorrow for the game on Saturday. 6500 miles, 21 hours door to door. Don't think anyone would be fit to play after that trek so WP not even warming the bench

Super Salif to the rescue. And if we're being honest, Diao when he has played this season has actually done well.

I see what you did there, DJ. Very good. OS.

Just goes to show how little Roberto Mancini at Man City knows about the beautiful game. Toure was at the ACON for best part of a month or so, flies back and within a couple of days is playing. He must have been knackered poor fella. Our Tone would have looked after him properly and rested him for three weeks following that. Mind you he did have a blinder the first game back!!!!!

Pulis would play Walters on Saturday even if he had done 90 minutes plus extra time and travelled from timbuctoo, he's undroppable in Tone's eyes!

Fuller got nowhere against Valencia. Several times he tried to beat his man and failed every time. Impact sub now.
Walters has been off the boil for most of this season, but he can still score, runs his heart out and deserves a bit more slack on here for all he gives with no fuss behind the scenes.
I'm sure he'll come good again.

I can score the occasional goal, run my heart out and won't give any fuss behind the scenes, can I play for Stoke?

I'm sure he'll come good again. How much more slack can he be cut though? He's been rubbish since October. He had an excellent end to last season after a very slow start and has gone right off the boil again now. I don't necessarily think it's all his fault as he's been run into the ground by Pulis this season despite having three or four other options to replace him with. Why he hasn't rotated the strikers more is baffling.

Obviously I watched this game rather than England last night Walters came on for last 20 mins and looked energetic and I thought played really well.... Be happy to see him start again on Saturday Incidently Whelan picked up a nasty facial injury which required stitches but carried on till midway through 2nd half
