wigan has never been and never will be a football town, they only got into the prem because of whelans ego, two seasons ago he told them he was no longer willing to keep them afloat and that they have to survive by their own resources, with pathetic gates its clear that they will not survive. its not if they go down its when, im sorry but they wont be missed

Do you for one minute think 27k gates are sufficient for buying the calibre of player, at the price we pay is enough, blackburn are about the same in support size as us, look at them without a rich benefactors support, think your self lucky and hope and pray that nothing happens to coates because I for one dont think his family will be as generous to our cause if hes not around any more as he is. This billy big bollocks stuff as though we are untouchable in the perils of football fickleness is not what we are about we are fortunate so count your blessings and leave the superior un informed crap out of it

Put away your petty agendas for a couple of minutes. They weren't even a Football League club 35 years ago! That sounds very much like a "Look where we've come from" type post. I thought they were banned on here?

Play decent football as opposed to our supposed hoofing. Have quite a few decent players. Have a good chairman running the club. Seems a decent enough chap does Martinez so why the struggles because afterall football is supposedly everything that hoofball isn't. I do quite like them as a club too. Quite simply ... their defence is absolutely horrific! ;D

Because 80% of their squad are Championship standard and whenever they find a decent player (usually from the S American market until recently so expertly and thoroughly monitored by kempy kempo) a decent club comes in and buys them. Simples.

I would like Wigan to stay up because then we only need another two teams to end up below us to secure Premiership football next season! ;D
