This is a terrible tragedy, he had his whole life ahead of him, it's very upsetting. Thoughts go out to Liam's family. Rest in peace Liam.

The word tragedy is much over used but in this case is absolutely relevant. Have just sent my 13 and 8 year old sons off to school and have seen the news. RIP Liam. God bless the family.

His team play in the same league as my Cousin's which kind of brings it home a little bit more.
Absolute tragedy and my thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends.
Rest in Peace Liam.

Lost my cousin exactly the same way, put his team 2 goals ahead, never got up after the celebrations.
RIP Liam, 13 years old, for fucks sake this world takes the absolute piss sometimes.

Liam played for AFC saints. He was a lovely lad, and I know everyone else at school will miss him. The other lads who play on his team went up to the field on Monday to lay flowers and candles for him, it was really nice. Sweet dreams little guy, you'll always be in our hearts. love from megan, and everyone else at school. <3

Known his grandad for years - him and his mate along with my old man and me all used to stand together at the Vic.
When we moved to the Brit we all got seats together.
My dad's not so great on his pins these days and doesn't go so much but me and his grandad still have the same seats we always had. His grandad's mate doesn't go to every game and when he is away Liam has (or used to have) his ticket.
Quiet lad and a fellow Stoke fan just getting into it in a big way.
I'm 51 and a cynical old sod. But when my dad phoned me on Monday night to tell me what had happened I was quite literally speechless for some time.
Truly tragic.
