banbury stokies are travelling up at 9.00am because my mate has to go and help his family clear his nans house after her death the other week,(she was a stoke fan for 80 odd years).so by the time the inspection is made we will be in the pub getting psyched up. THIS GAME HAS TO BE ON, crwho do everything necessary for all the fans travelling from far and wide, NOW!! THE WEEKS BEEN A GOOD ONE WITH THE SIGNING OF GERRY AND THE LIKELIHOOD OF REACHING THE PLEDGE COUNT, SO CRWHO DO NOT LET US DOWN.

After the Man City debacle they should have taken this into account. I know there's a frost due etc but it really is a pain in the arse for folk travelling. you'd think in the current climate clubs in Div 1 would have undersoil heating. I mean 'Boro don't in the prem in a new stadium.
Isn't there a fella coming from Sweden tonight?? Imagine the poor fellas disappointment if the game is off.
People put a whole day aside for these matches. All their talk of stadium ownership etc...what nonsense. This is the first bloody division not the Nantwich 5 a side soccer moms Sunday league. ( actually wouldn't mind seeing that)

Prat Crewe fan at work says, 'Dario doesn't want under soil heating because it ruins the pitch' ???

ive got a feeling the game will go ahead. here in penkhull most of the snow is melting, all depends about the frost tonight. Ill ring me brother later, he lives about 5 miins from the ground, to ask him how it is up there

You can't be too hopeful really. A predicted very hard frost tonight, and no undersoil heating spells postponement 9 times out of 10

I have it on good authority that the match will go ahead aslong as Dario can see some studs holes on the pitch tomorrow morning (no pun intended, honest)

this is from the crewe rivals board
With zero assistance from the Alex a lot of the pitch is now snow-free but there's still an area from the main stand to the centre circle between the 18 yard lines. Think it's too late for that to melt now but a few people could still get most of it off in an hour or so. If it's left it will be ice by tomorrow morning and no chance it will go by 12:00. Another great Alex c*ck-up in the offing!! If it is called off we already know what the excuses will be but don't listen to 'em. Can't be a*sed will be the real reason. Sorry my clayhead friends but you have a real reason to be p*ssed off as we do.

also this
At the moment half the pitch is nice and green predictably the half nearest the main stand still covered with snow but pretty thin. Doesn't look too bad so there's a chance.
