I have a little feeling there might be another surprise in store tommorrow. That I think would be the icing on the cake if we got an experienced, influential midfielder for the game on saturday.Anybody got any thoughts or have heard anything?.By the way could the the game not be in doubt saturday with snow and hatd frosts forecast?.I cant see Crewe having undersoil heating?!!.

If we sign a midfielder tomorrow and reach the pledge target,it will truly be an amazing week for Stoke! However,i can't really think of any quality midfielders about other than Batty but i saw it on Ceefax earlier that despite interest from other clubs he wants to stay at Leeds. This even though Gray has said he has no future!(In other words, fuck it,i'll play in the reserves for 20k a week) In saying that Pulis has got a habit of pulling signings completely out of the blue(remember Warhurst last season, there was absolutely no mention of that before!) Let's wait and see but i won't be holding my breath i don't think,i mean the board have put the money up for Taggart,i doubt they'll be dipping into their pockets just yet considering our position(unless of course they want us to make the playoffs ) Well here's hoping...

Is this 'feeling' based on any real info/knowledge or just blind hope
By the way,Perhaps Crewe can use some of the hot air the Crewe fans have been spouting on the 'rival' board to protect their pitch

I live in Leeds and a colleague knows some younger lads at Leeds and thet reckon he gave up wanting to play football about two years ago and that he was more than happy to sit in the reserves on 20k and had no interest in going on loan anywhere, lost the hunger for the game apparently. He used to be a great player but not one for us......

Well we were reported to be looking at 'two' players prior to Wigan before both deals fell through. Having signed Taggart (short term deal) maybe we still have a bit of freedom to go for someone else? (considering the two mystery signings were said to be short termers too)
I'm very happy with Taggart alone, but if Pulis is still looking elsewhere then great.

I'm in way over my head. Since when have we ever been so active in the transfer market? Great news though. There may be a lot more to TP than we first thought. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I know, its weird at the moment. Every player that i hear is available,i wonder if Stoke are after them! Even if we don't manage to sign anybody else, its a case of speculate to accumulate because players will take notice that Stoke's ambitions seem to have changed when we're after players such as Taggart, Batty and Elliot. Stoke are no longer a joke and i firmly believe we can now contend with almost every club to get top quality players down at the Brit. It truly is a great time to be a Stokie and i feel sure that if not this season, then next we will be strong promotion contenders. ;D ;D
COME ON STOKE!!!

According to a profile of the Taggartmeister on a Leicester site, his wages don't appear that steep, as he signed a one-year deal in the summer, post-administration.They describe his wage as "shocking", and say he ummed and arred over signing for a few weeks.
By our standards, I'm sure it's still pretty decent!.
Even so, maybe the work was done in getting Leics to release him, rather than pushing the boat out massively, financially?.
Maybe there is room for one more ;D
