I doubt Wolves would agree to sell. I really don't think it would be a good move for them and their fans would go mental. Yeah that would certainly be the 'biggy' MP. I'm not even sure if selling him to us would be the worst thing for the Dingles. I reckon that the fans would consider it as cashing in early and an acceptance of relegation.

I want to see that bloke for Bolton come back on this thread (can't remember his name now - but the bloke who ended up deleting all of his post during the last 'new signings' thread) for an encore performance.
Dave - compliements of the season.

Probably the most entertaining part of these threads is how people like you react to them. I am looking forward to 6 weeks of a lot of people making absolute asses of themselves. (Not necessarily you Mister S, however, if the cap fits, etc!) And Dave, welcome back and let the fun begin!! ;D

Squad members, or first team players leaving? All first team players want to stay Dave, hate to take you up on something so early in your new season but, how can you possibly know that??? You simply cannot... Do you know all the players personally???

Could the London striker be Anelka, or even Kalou?

Could the London striker be Anelka, or even Kalou? Anelka has signed with chinese club and is on 300,000 euros a week apparently - so couldnt afford him - too slow -would take up until winter of 2018 to be "Pulis Fit"

A winger who would fit the mould woulld be Eagles. He is tricky still a good age and already has a good work ethic. He wouldn't cost much either as Bolton are looking dead certs for going down this year.

I heard a rumour a couple of months back off someone who I work with who has a contact that spends sometime with more senior people within the club, and the rumour was that Tim Cahill was looking like a real possibility for signing for Stoke in January, after we missed out on him over the summer. I was told it was more or less a done deal. Of course with any form of rumour there is a slight pinch of salt that it taken with it.

Heard this rumour at the Spurs match, plus Everton are getting in Donovan and even though it is a loan they still have to pay him and they are skint.

I really hope this Cahill rumour is just a rumour as he looks past it from what I've seen of him this season! Or he is saving himself for his big move to Stoke The best attacking header in the Premier league. He would fit us perfectly and wouldn't cost very much now he is 31.

Replace Crouch with Defoe and you have exactly the same word as he spoke in the summer Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp says "he is not looking to sell striker Peter Crouch this summer"

Cahill is a brilliant player and the best header of a ball in the PL. He'd have to fight to get in the side at the mo though. I'm hoping he's been brought for the midfield rather than up front.

I think Defoe will end up at QPR who will spend silly money on him. Greed over amition with him I think.

Dave what are our priorites at the mo CB? I'd like to think out wide. Full Back,Striker that is quick, and a winger Full Back = Ridgewell Quick Striker = Zaha Winger = Hopefully Jarvis based on yesterdays performance

IF we did sign Defoe, then he'd have to be guaranteed a starting place, which would be unbelievably harsh on Walters.
We need a Fullback and a Winger, in that order, if a Striker was offered to us and it was too good a deal to turn down, then by all means sign him, but we shouldn't go out of our way chasing a player for an area we're overstocked in.
