I've never felt more positive after today what with the win and Daves update. Heres my summary of how I see things
- Looking to bring a FB in January (Baines or Ridgewell) - Looking to bring London based striker in Jan if not then defo in the summer (Defoe) - 2 squad players defo leaving (Pugh and one other) - Full back could be an early deal. - Pennant kissed and made up with TP - Marshall staying - Sir Peter still happy to spend - priorities FB, quick striker and a winger.

We are interested in someone from London Someone fron the North West and a player based in the North east. I will be just as close as Dave by 31st Jan You'll be glued to this thread until the 31st January won't you? Don't lie ;D

Hi Dave, welcome back I was going to say welcome back to the mad house, but its your arrival that has made it so!! It seems Fulham are after Noble for 4m, any chance we may jump in?

Where's this Leighton Baines rumour come from? ;D ;D Absolutely no chance! As crazy as it sounds, Everton need the money most other clubs are skint. If TP told Coates that the player is available and the deal was reasonable then I'm pretty sure that he would have no problem putting up the cash to bring Baines here. That's all i'm saying... This has been doing the rounds for a few weeks the only thing that keeps me interested is that Everton desperately need goals and a striker is a number one priority else they really could be in a battle. That's +£10m they need to find minimum, even with some of the Arteta money they are short.

Noble is over rated. Collison is a far better option.

If we are looking to bring in a striker, does that mean that Fuller will be off in Jan? One last pay day for him maybe?

Noble is over rated. Collison is a far better option. I agree, but can't see Wet Sham selling them both and seems like Noble may be the one allowed to leave. And as Pulis is a fan (of both of them) he may test the waters with a bid. Another midfielder to sit on the bench ;D

So the striker link, who is going to drop from the match day squad then? PC and SJW beginning to play together the the bench has KJ,CJ and Ric. Where does another striker fit in without one going?

They'll need cash to pay those wages, but just in general Everton are a financial pickle are they not?

I could see Jones going to someone like Fulham exchange for Zamora or perhaps to set up a deal for Defoe.

Dave, Welcome back.
Defoe - if that was who we were talking about - he'd be cup tied for the Valencia match wouldn't he? Is that not an issue?

I'll eat my own hair if we sign baines, but it would be absolutely incredible. I feel sorry for Jerome if we buy a fast striker. He won't get a look in at all

What happens to players we sign in January regarding the Europa League squad?
Drop someone and they get in or not?

There is no Arteta money really though is there? They are 50 odd million in debt and without a buyer they need to sell. Could see Fuller going to Everton as Moyes been linked before and knows him well of course.

London based striker?... Drogba, Chamahk, Defoe... All 3 seem far fetched but African Cup of Nations rules two out I suspect Im sure you thought the same when Crouch was mentioned but you have to accept now Stoke have readies that a lot of other clubs in this league cant imagine spending. TP is a very lucky man, he must think its a dream. On top of that our league position and europa experience now gives us the missing link which is status
