So very sorry for your loss. Guy from down my road died at 17, he got drunk and climbed a lamppost, fell off and hit his head. Got up and walked away, only to die in his bed that night. The rest of his family were on holiday. So tragic, we all do stupid things when we're young, it's part of what makes life worth living. There but for the grace of God etc...

So so sorry to hear of your loss, r.i.p Mike.
Here I was, feeling sorry for myself, halfway through my 3rd 12 hour shift, I read this and realise what a mardarse I'm being.
I printed the condolences thread off when my Dad died and showed it to friends and family at the funeral, a lot of people appreciated it. The thread itself, as OS says, provided some comfort at an awfully difficult time.
Deepest condolences to you and yours fellow Stokie.

So very sorry to read your news, diamondice. Brings it all home how precarious life can be, and how we all thought we were invincible at 19. I wish you and your family the very best of luck in what must be the worst time. But know that everyone on here is thinking of you and supporting you. RIP MIke....

Awful news about your son, Mike, and so brave of you not only to be on here but also to admit that it was a silly prank.
Diamond, don't tear your hair out about why he died, as we all do daft things and get away with it.
Think of him as he was, an obviously full of life and fun teenager, who lost the battle, through devastatingly bad luck.
I wonder if those who sat near to him know about this? Perhaps his seat number would jog some memories and provoke further responses? This applies to others, too.
Thanks for putting it on. So many Stokies will be thinking of you, at Christmas, I can assure you. Stay brave.
