I'm sure all those people currently on banning orders from football stadia would be up for that. Haven't some European sides been made to play behind closed doors because of racism from their supporters? I'll give you my theory on this as it comes up alot There is a difference The reason slandering someone who's black, jewish, gay or a woman is seen as worse than slandering someone fat, ginger or bespectacled is because historically and in the present Black, Jewish, Homosexuals and Women have had atrocities committed against them. This could be genocide, slavery, repeated legal rape, lack of rights, etc etc Once a section of society is wronged in such a massive way slandering them because of it is almost making light of what's been committed against them. I think they almost get a protected status in society so we can implement a "we never forget" policy as a super organism. Another way of putting it is a group of people have been so wronged the scales now must be set the other way Does this make any sense? I'm sure one of the more eloquent posters on here will say it better than I. I think Casper's right though better to share a drink with both than resort to petty name calling. It's fucking childish |

I just think that if someone wants to have a go at someone in the heat of the moment they normally state the obvious. I.E fat, ginger, black, yellow or whatever.
For me racism is like bullying etc where a continuous attack or digs take place.
Not saying any of it is right but just how I see things.

Not that we didn't know it already, but the game that we all love and used to call beautiful is run by complete and utter idiots. An absolutely disgraceful thing to say and it makes a total mockery of the anti-racism vehicles that are currently active in football. EG, instead of F**king black c**t, F***king c**t has the same meaning and impact, if you really have to attempt to intimidate. |

One final point I think some are missing. Called someone black, white, yellow, fat, ginger in the heat of the moment in a derogatory manner means in your heart of hearts you see that as a negative aspect. How often do you hear someone call someone else a "sexy prick" or "F**king gorgeous bast*rd"? I don't see being black as a negative thing, hence I don't call someone that as an insult. I do see fat as being a negative thing, so I may call someone that as an insult
