I agree with your team, but i'd swap Whelan for Wilson.

Delap for Wilson but otherwise I'd go with the starting 11 Likewise.

Total madness not having Whitehead in the squad you always need a game closer

I'm really struggling to do this now when all are fit - there are a few good players who would walk into a lot of mid to low prem first teams that I can't fit into our SQUAD (Whitehead, Jerome, Shotton) Begovic Wilko Shawcross Huth Higgy Pennant Palacios Wilson Etherington Crouch Walters Sorro Upson Woodgate Whelan Delap Fuller Jones Do really need two centre backs on the bench? I'd sacrifice one of them for Shotton who is Mr. Versatility. Of course Tone will have two centre backs on the bench - I wouldn't.

Stokelad,if you really can't see that Wilko is a massive improvement over Huth at right back,I truly feel sorry for you

Due to the ongoing 'fullback' problem, I think we are really forced into a corner and should be looking at a 3-4-3 or 3-5-2
Begovic Huth Shawcross Woodgate Pennant Whelan Palacios Walters Etherington Crouch Fuller
Subs Sorensen Shotton Delap Whitehead Wilson Jerome Jones
Theres enough flexibility there with Pennant and Etherington used to tracking back and taking 'fullback' duties, Whelan and Palacios as the usual shields, and Walters free to be super Johnny Walters!
If you want to revert to 4-4-2 you've got a choice of Shotton and Wilson from the bench.
Tough not to find a pace for Higginbotham, Wilkinson and Upson in a squad of 18, just goes to show the depth in defenders we have.

Sorro Huth - Shawcross - Woodgate - Wilson Pennant - Delap - Palacios - Etherington Crouch - Walters Do you genuinely believe that Pennant plays better with Huth behind him than Wilko? We created far more chances for our forwards than in any other game this season, playing the strongest oppostion we have played this season BY FAR - ManU. And just how effective was Ashley Young in that game? How do you justify starting Huth over Wilko fella?

Too many of you leaving Huth out! He was our star performer last season in central defense! Not his fault he is more versatile than our other center backs! Woodgate has already made more mistakes than Huth did through the whole of last season! Shawcross and Huth in central defense for me every time if possible! ;D

Bego just shades it but either wouldnt worry me at all Sorro/Bego Wilko/Shotton - Wilko more experienced and best choice rb but Shotton growing so again either Frankly any 2 of our 4 c/b's would be fine - at a push Shawcross as lynch pin plus Huth Higgy left back but again not worried if Wilson either Pennant Any two of Whelan, Delap, Palacios, Wilson - at best Whelan and Palacios when both on song - Matty Crouch just ahead of Jones (when KJ at his best) Walters Bench Whoever dunna make it from above but with Fuller also on the bench This.... but don't quite see the Higgy hype myself out for a very long time, I would have to see him a few games after fitness to judge, maybe he will never be the player he once was for us, so it's Wilson at the mo for me.
