Never understand the car park rage after matches. If you don't want the hassle then don't fucking park there. Everybody's in the same boat and letting a couple of cars in isn't going to hold you up in the grand scheme of things, is it?
It frustrates the arse off me but it's hardly worth getting done for assault. Stupid bastard.

The scramble to get out after a match is like a rat race. People barging into the queue, and cars driving up SSMW towards the stadium (which should be banned for an hour after full time) means that peoples tempers are bound to be stretched.
Not making excuses for whats happened here, but I`m surprised it doesn`t happen more often. What happens to the stewards? Loads of them standing around before the game waiving their arms around, and then after the match, when they could be useful, not a single one to be seen anywhere.

mickstupp - true !
It is a complete free for all, which really - should have stewards sorting the queue out to get out of the two main exits leading onto Stanley Matthews way. They're there when we arrive waving us in - so why they cant be there to stop oncoming traffic and let a few cars out, i dont know.
It takes us around 45 minutes to get home from after the match, but only as we park as close as possible to the exit and actually get in the line and not try to barge in right by the gate.
Still, no excuse to get out of your motor and punch someone 4 times over it

Making SSMW one way for a while after the game would help immensely and stewards at the exits would also help - assuming they did the job properly. I emailed Tony Scholes about this a couple of years back and was told it wasn't possible to have the traffic control measures I suggested - which I found odd because places like Blackburn have no problems with temporary road measures. In the end I gave up parking in the official car parks and now park 20 mins away from the ground where I can drive away with no hassle once I reach the car. The road system around the Brit isn't ideal but life could be so much easier with quite simple temporary traffic measures.

Not hard to understand, the world's full of cocks like this who think they have the right to be first, regardless of the situation. I always smile and wave as I very carefully don't let the fuckers in. ;D ;D ;D

The stewards arrive before everyone else and secure a prime parking spot. They then casually stroll to the car at the end of the game, take off their bibs, and scoot right off leaving paying supporters to spend an hour fighting their way off. I've watched them do it many times. I imagine they are only paid until 5.00p.m.

At Christmas, when I'm stuck coming off festival park in traffic, I'll fully expect the staff from Argos and Morrisons to suck me off after they finish work. After all, satisfying me without pay should much higher on their list of priorities than going home after a day at work.

Not only Blackburn. When Leicester still played at Filbert St. the entire main road on to the ring road, with access to the royal infirmary and Leicester Tigers, who often played at home at the same time, was made one way from around 4-30pm. Why Sir Stan Way cannot be done is staggering. Apparantly permission is needed from the firms along the Way. So when Pets At Home always seem to have wagons coming in to their premises at precisely the same time as fans are leaving it would suggest we're going to wait a long time for that!

It doesn't mean that the staff shouldn't be allowed to park where they want though does it?
Surely that's one of the perks of having to get there 3 hours before everyone else.

They do it on purpose mate. To try and demostrate the need to keep the road open.
