6
Tried hard as he always will but against teams who have most of the play and he is isolated and expected to chase around he's too slow and static. I expect him to shine more in games where we can get hold of the ball a lot more and support him as a unit. For games like today i really think Jerome would be the best option to play with Walters as they have the pace and engine to cause a lot more trouble.

Absolutely no service but anytime the ball was player up to him he has a fantastic touch and good pass, 6.5 for me

Thought he had great first touch which is greatly needed in our forward line I'll give him a 7 for a decent debut.
Think Pulis has a headache in selections now coz Walters also had a blinder and KJ offers us so much

You're getting boring now Gary He can plough a lone furrow on his own a lot better than Crouch will ever manage. Crouch had very little influence on the game today while Jerome's pace and power would have been much more useful when 9 of the team are camped outside their own box

Crouch ....like fuller, needs the ball first
As has been said , absolutely no service to the man .
I'm sure Jerome will do well when the time comes
Palacios .... Have we signed him?

Why do you keep saying things like that when i have seen him play quite a lot already? He's not some unknown from South America. He's quick and strong and would have been a much better selection today than Crouch who was pretty anonomous. Would you agree with that much? When we are playing at home against teams who don't keep the ball as well as Liverpool then Crouch is much better as we are likely to create more chances for him. Jerome is a poor finisher while Crouch isn't but we are not talking about those games here, we're talking about today's game and Jerome would have been much better than Crouch. "We'll see" is not really an answer to any of the above is it?

He has pace granted but but its of very little use to us considering his first touch is absolutely awful.

Was it only one throw in the second half....tends to support Beardys view. Need to relieve pressure on the defence some how....nothing like a punt down the line for Jerome to use his strength and speed. Like Ric used to do.

Our players need to learn how to play with a target man that will not waste possession and it will take time.
Countless times he won the ball and flicked it into very intelligent area's, only for our lads to not pick up on the second ball.
The players from midfield need to get the confidence to push out and take the second ball. It will come the more they all play together.
Our wingers will have days when they are allowed more time to push on and get crosses in, but today they did a magnificent job in protecting the two full backs.
Patience. It will be alright.

7/8 considering what he had to work with

8 for me. He wins all the headers like Kenwyn, but the difference for me is his ability to hold the ball up and bring others into the play. He is gonna be a great Stoke signing.

Not going give him a score but thought he was superb today great hold up play, showed why he his a step up from the forwards we've had in recent years with the exception of fuller perhaps

Great touch and nearly every header/chest he won went to a Stoke player. Clever player who we need to get a midfielder close to when he has it.

He was probably a 7. He showed some nice touches and won some headers but to be fair our wingers weren't really in the game to enable us to get the best out of him.

I noticed that Palacios was giving out some instructions when we were under the kosh at the end. That for me is a good sign.
