i thought plymouth and brighton hated eachother.... always seem to be attacking eachother on the boards like blunderland/stoke. ??? since when have we become rivals of sunderland? Other than about maybe 10 posters on each others boards I would say the majority dont give a seconds thought. Can we please go over this mini-obsession. And good luck to Plymouth, good job from Brighton fans

Club banter is one thing... the very existence of a football club is another. Something completely unimaginable for us in our current situation.
Got my support, best of luck to Plymouth.

I'm all for supporting clubs in distress (with a few notable exceptions) and would no doubt go along to Home Park if I was down there but I am at a loss to see how you can blame the FA for Plymouth's plight. The failed world cup bid! How has that contributed to the way Plymouth has been mismanaged? As for the FA being responsible for the top heavy distribution of funds! I think you should be tilting at other rotten windmills there such as Sky and the Premier League. Nowt to do with the FA. That's not to say the FA isn't a moribund organisation, just that I fail to see how they can be blamed for Plymouth's financial mess. Perhaps someone ITK ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/0m0lbCuTEBzaRn6f8QaM.gif) can enlighten us. I think you might need to look a bit closer to home for someone to blame. Remind me who the Plymouth Chairman is? Say no more!! ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/MK1XRTh9jLIKdOoyx512.gif) Having said all that it's clearly not the proper Plymouth fan's fault so good luck with the campaign.

Can we please go over this mini-obsession. Sorry... when did I say Sunderland were rivals with us? ??? I just said that in my personal experience being a regular on NSC, for a long period I saw lots of Plymouth threads. They hated eachother on the internet and everytime I went on their boards I saw them bitching about eachother. The main theme was Brighton were "Gay Boys" and Plymouth were hopefully "Going out of business." Just reminded me of the constant Sunderland/Stoke threads on here.

The problem is that the administrator seems to be in bed with Ridsdale and his plan to acquire the club for a quid.
This involves selling the club to people who have no interest in Argyle, or the city of Plymouth and just want to separate the fc from its land so that they can make a fortune from unrelated development. Oh and Argyle would have the security of only a 25 year lease!
However despite these bunch of asset strippers not coming up with any money for 4 months and players and staff being unpaid for 8 months the administrator is refusing to talk to anyone else. The Argyle Trust want to buy the club in tandem with a local business man and have encouragement from the city council but.........
The Administrator refuses to talk to anyone else other than Ridsdales cronies. I think the plan is to let the club go bust and then they can reap the land value opportunities without having to worry about the inconvenience of a football club!

Plymouths debts are nothing compared to your fee for Crouch and are largely due to signing up to the failed World Cup bid, The Club has an asset, the ground, that vultures would love to gain control of. Plymouth players have gone unpaid for months, staff even longer,Peter Reid is digging in his pocket to pay day by day running costs. If you care about football and are in the area turn up,if you are not able to go and are touched by the plight of Argyle and feel you wish to help. This fund is ring fenced by fans, for giving help to backroom staff unpaid for getting on to a year. www.pasoti.co.uk/talk/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=51722You need to be better informed mate!Plymouth`s demise is entirely self inflicted by a daliance with an uninterested Japanese owner,an apathathetic public and a lazy and hopeless commercial department (my firm sponsors a game most seasons).Sympathy is a little thin on the ground from a lot of neutral fans who have mates who are Argyle fans and know what`s going on. Oh right! So in the same way as the city of Brighton got screwed over by the evil asset stripper Bill Archer all those years ago you think its okay for the same to now happen to the city of Plymouth and the SW peninsular to lose the biggest club in the area? You are correct to say that this has been caused by the total incompetence of the previous board that has created the situation where the vultures are circling. But to have no sympathy for the victims, fellow football fans who are supposedly your mates too! Beggars belief. If this was happening to Stoke and it could have done if Peter Coates had pre deceased the Icelandic rule, would you be saying we have got what was coming to us and deserve no sympathy or support? BM
