So who do we all want then? Should we be looking for a few big names to give us some glamour games at the Brit to make it really 'feel' like we're in Europe, or do we want the easiest draw possible to give us the best chance of progression?
Personally I'd like a bit of both. Maybe one glamour team like Atletico Madrid with some lower quality but reasonably local sides. Something like Atletico Madrid, Club Brugge, Stoke City, Shamrock Rovers would do me.

We could do with dropping lucky with our Pot 2 opponent, if we assume Pot 1 will be tough and Pot 4 should be beatable.
Brugge or Liege would be great - very beatable and a nice trip over to Belgium!
Getting a glamorous name in Pot 1 would be great, as long as we also get a beatable team in Pot 2.

That's true...we could call in at Bossie's for some chips (that he'd cook in his megatron) Ace (but Lazio would be sexier)

We really need to avoid long distance eastern european sides if possible. Last thing we need before a tough Premier League away game 2 days later is a long return flight to the Ukraine or somewhere.
My group of death would be something along the lines of:
Dynamo Kiev Metalist Kharkiv Stoke City Maccabi Tel-aviv
All miles away, all pretty tough sides and no real glamour ties (although Dynamo are a fairly big name).

Oops: Hapoel Tel-Aviv qualified, not Ekranes. They are in pot 2, pushing Maccabi Tel-Aviv into pot 3, and Vorskla into pot 4.
Pot 3, by the way, is: Maccabi T-A, Zurich, Odense, Lokomotiv Moscow, PAOK Thessalonika, Birmingham, STOKE, Rennes, Austria Wien, Rapid Bucharest, Hannover, and Wisla Kracow. How about Sporting Lisbon, Brugge and Shamrock Rovers for group opposition!

yep i got the dates ready , then gonna jump on flights too ! i only going one away game myself , but just did a quick test , £35 return to madrid for the 29th sept game , just a test !!! but well justifable to the misses as affordable if it came true ! games are : match 1 - 15 sept match 2 - 29 sept match 3 - 20 oct match 4 - 3 nov match 5 - 30nov / 1 dec match 6 - 14 / 15 dec Don't be to sure. I know a lad whose an Everton fan, Everton drew someone in the Europa league (can't remember who) The Evertonions were straight on the internet and booked flights from Liverpool for £35 return. Someone from easy jet found out what was going on and they cancelled the flight and refunded everyone's money, Easy jet then reinstated the flight but were now charging £300 return + taxes.

As the crow flies, these are some of the furthest you may have to travel:
Kharkiv: 1646 miles
Besiktas (Istanbul): 1675 miles
Kazan: 2026 miles
AEK Larnaca (Cyprus): 2143 miles
Tel Aviv: 2336 miles
