the only way I can think of is if you take a pair of scissors and cut the numbers off. You will have holes on the back of your kit though. But if you don't mind a couple of holes on the back of your shirt, I think that's a nice thing to do. Bonus: If you're a cool guy, you could make this into the next big thing in supporter fashion. Hope this helps! :-):-):-):-)

Try lighting a match under the numbers.
They'll be gone in no time.

It dunna matter mate, if i saw someone with this coming seasons Stoke shirt on with PENNANT 16 on the back, it wouldn't even cross my mind that is was his squad number last season and not this.
It's a Stoke City shirt with the name and number of a current City player, and one that was accurate in terms of the squad number for last season when he was bloody mint for us.
Don't worry about it mate.

In retrospect, I have got an even better idea: Use a magic marker, and draw a really fat big "7" on top of the old 16. If people keep asking why you have such a big number on your top, you can tell them that it is a tribute to beckhams new kid (she's called seven if im not mistaken) as well as pennant.

I'm sure a couple of years ago the club offered to pay for replacements for everyone who got Beattie 20 shirts when he changed to 9. But this time around they're making the point of claiming no responsibility.
I suppose the best thing to do is always wait until the list is announced before getting it printed up.

I wore a Beattie 20 shirt once, and got beat up by some Stoke fans. They kept shouthing that he doesn't play for us anymore, and it's the wrong number as well. I'm not saying that this is going to happen to you, but just letting you know. The kit nazis are out there.

Problem solved, literally.

You could try to steam the numbers off, as all they do is heat press them on.

Dead easy mate. Simply cut a huge number 7 out of the back of the shirt so it removes the previous number and paint your back black so that it shows through the number you've cut out, that way it will look like you've got the number 7 on your back. Sorted

You need some flex remover that contains methylenchlorid (it's about £12 a bottle). Rub it on the back of the number and peel away, wash off any excess and press your new number on.
It smells great too! Got to go, a giant purple tortoise is eating my car.

There is a chance we may have to have solid patches on the back of our shirts in Europe to comply with UEFA rules so you may just be able to get one of those if they become available and whack it over the top?

Next time, don't put a player's name at the back of it. If there is to be a name, why not your own?
