Josh Glover is on trial having been released from trials at Bolton and at Derby, as an above poster said he is a local lad, played his football with Audley FC last year with my son in the Staffordshire County Minor Sunday Youth League, and he also represented England Schoolboys (was on telly) he's 18 going on 19 now so i guess he's too old for a scholarship contract. He's quite a tall youth, wonderful left foot, will be interesting to see how he goes on.

Cheers! Be interesting to see what happens with him.
They drew 2-2 this afternoon. Which is probably fair but we conceded again in the 90th or very close to minute. Musungu and Richardson scored our goals.

How come Cuvelier hasn't gone on loan anywhere yet? He seems about as close to getting on the first team bench as Pottermus or the kit lady. To be fair, Pottermus is definitely ahead of him the queue. I hear that he has not done that well recently and the view is that he needs to much time on the ball.......... not sure if he has it in him????

I'd rather see him in the middle where he played when he came on against 'Boro with Richardson on the right, Tunji benched.

Won 2-1. Richardson playing well, got a goal and an assist today. 3 goals in 4 games. His goal was a 35-40yard freekick too! (Sunderland away by the way )

That is a smashing result against an Academy that never turn out a bad side at u18 level.
We could be in for a good season this year. Ive seen quite a bit of the Man u and Liverpool sides this year and both look a lot weaker than last year.
We should be able to take something out of both as they are on a mainly first year cycle where we are mainly second years which makes a difference. Liverpool are also not using all their eligible u18s in ther Academy league as they are playing in the new "Next Gen" competition against European teams as well as the Reserves.
We lok a lot stronger in some important areas and are a little more adventurous under Dave Kevin. I wouldnt be suprised to see us get our top points haul to date this season.

Nice to see the academy side doing so well! And a midfielder that scores goals? At Stoke? You must be joking!

I'll ask one of the lads after I go for a shower. ;D
Cook came on about 75th min for the injured CRN.
Never head/seen him before, look smaller/younger but still thought he was 16/17. Again, I'll ask.
1-0, didn't deserve to lose.
Still 2nd/3rd in the League I think...
Boro smashed Sheff Wed(with Galloway from Stoke on loan) 6-1 after going 1-0 behind!!!!

They describe Dave Parton as a Stoke City reserve keeper on loan at Newcastle. I thought he had been released - if so he can't be on loan, can he?
Well done Dave for the clean sheet anyway and well done Newcastle for the win.

Not sure the semantics matter John, but great credit to Stoke City for assisting with his recuperation and return to the game.
