Points i canthink of: Better than rivals:
Permanently logged in Stars Features Gadgets Profiles multi boards polls quick Less congestion
worse than rivals
Can't have 250 posts per page Trawling through posts to find one related to yours to much tech is bad for some people stars give way to spamming Loggign in on this does not log you in to the whole proboards network, eg Cardiff, wigan and god knows what.
Any more?

Better

Worse
Set up in such a way that Admin play God too much: moving posts where they like, deleting them outright.

339187,
Playing god? I'd estimate that less, probably far less, than 0.5% of any posts are even touched by admin, and then, usually, only because they were posted in the wrong forum.
It's not to play god, it's to make sure the right subjects go into the right categories. You make it sound like some kind of power fix, when it's nothing more than an attempt to keep the boards in the post possible state for everybody to use and enjoy.
As time has gone on people have become more used to the concept and I personally only moved one post in the past week... hardly playing god!

Has nobody noticed one of the main differences with this board? The fact that it isnt rivals and so we don't get rival fans posting on the board- especially considering they would have to request a new ID to actually post. The weekly juvenile bickering between us Stokies and the latest opposition can be really fun to read, and sets up a little more antagonism before the actual game. In fact I would say it is MCF's sole reason for using a Stoke messageboard- to piss off other fan's.
The sooner we can get back to arguing with other fans the better in my opinion.

339187,
Provide even ONE example of that? You can't because it doesn't happen and I don't see where that cynicism has come from?
I can assure you that I have no favoured posters. I may dread a few people's posts but there is no-one who I particularly like above anyone else.
What would it profit me, in any sense of the word, to favour some at the expense of others?

Actually 339187 I have a theory. I noticed that after being one of the most active early members on this new board you suddenly signed off and disappeared. Did I move one of your personal conversations to the boring bin and are you still have a strop about it? Smudge
