TP said he would disscuss it,and our plans for next season,if we survived another year in the prem.Did he,or has he,done this? He stated that if we survive this season, then the club can really start to move on,and he would explain more at the season end.Did i miss something? or has nothing more been said?

I said the same thing yesterday. Perhaps he meant his bonus would be bigger and so he's gone to the Caribean on hols instead of Weymouth again ?

I've got a feeling we're going to be replacing the three year plan with another three year plan!

A bit of an anti climax that.I suppose that sums up our end of season.

Jesus, give the guy a break. We have just finished one of our most successful seasons, the players and staff have worked their bollocks off all season and the manager too. He deserves a break so give him one. I am sure it will all be explained in time, not that he needs too to you SGT

He was always dropping hints about younger and most importantly, the 'next level' of player that we can attract after 3 years. Agbonlahor and Defoe are examples.

The first three year plan was all about planning for possible relegation, keeping the finances in order and all that.
Our next three year plan is planning our survival in the prem, so a lot more pulisball.
Future three year plans are to stabalise the club with prudent expenditure in transfer market and wages which will enhance the way we play pulisball.

Perhaps the aim of the 3 year plan was to gain the supporters trust in his best interests of the club.
Just a Thought.

He said he would explain, I want him to. If what you've said is true then brilliant, but I'd rather hear it from TP than wild speculation and inferrances when he promised he'd say.

The three year plan was all about staying in the Premier League for three seasons.

It very well might have been, but I enjoy hearing from our manager, and I'd like to hear it from him. No matter how accurate you may be Stokelad, you're still speculating (ie, you've made it up with no solid basis), so let's have a listen, shall we?

The three year plan was all about staying in the Premier League for three seasons. what a load of bollocks....you know and everybody else knows Pulis meant it to be more than that otherwise it woud of been a one year plan followed by a two year plan and so on...

I think he probably will explain a llittle more about what is in his thoughts for the next few years. But I'd expect him to do it after he has had a well earned holiday and before the next season kicks off.
Being a football manager at the top level must be a heluva strain - and at the end of a hard season I think he's entitled to chill out in whatever way he wants for a few weeks before outlining his future plans and getting to grips with the problems of the season that lies ahead.

I wanted to ask him this at the Player of the Year awards, but got caught up in being a shy fan asking for a photo with him and his autograph! Realistically as mentioned above, we surpassed our 3 year plan with that FA cup final appearance and now being in Europe - something that pottersrule and PotterPaul seem to have forgot. As Penkhull says, it's all about pushing on moving up the table with younger players being introduced to carry the club forward as an established top ten team that are looking at (and as it has happened already) having good cup runs and pushing for Eurpoe.
All is good, all is great at Stoke City and if the next three years are anything like the last - I will pay up now to extend next season's season ticket to be a part of it!

I too reckon that Tony has exceeded his plans as we are in Europe in any case now. The Cup Final was one heck of an achievment too. I imagine his plan for taking the club to the next stage must mean higher quality players, at least 2 top signings and to instill in the team the importance of getting a higher degree of consistancy, otherwise it may well turn out a struggle to keep what we have.

Do we? It's news to me.
My take on the 3 year plan was that year 1 was to survive by hook or by crook and then to survive slightly more comfortably each year.
After 3 years it would be easier to sell Stoke as a "Premier League" club and therefore attract better players and look to progress to being a mid-table team.
As for Tone not explaining, I hope he currently has his feet up with a long cold drink somewhere recharging the batteries.
Next season is going to be long and hard and there will be plenty of time for him to explain later in the summer.

I believe the three year plan was essentially just to stay up for three seasons by getting older players in who we know would do a job, and now we'll try to consolidate our future by getting in younger players.

Did he really say he'd explain after 3 years? It sounds a bit bizarre expecting him to come out with some sweeping statement about the club's targets over the next 3 years as soon as last season ended! I'm sure most of us would rather he focus on getting the signings needed in first; the signing of just one outstanding player would say more than he ever could in 1000 press conferences.

He was always dropping hints about younger and most importantly, the 'next level' of player that we can attract after 3 years. Agbonlahor and Defoe are examples. Hopefully 3 years ago we decided to bite the bullet and scout the world or at least Europe for players for when and if we lasted the 3 years. The next 3 years would be about gathering that info on players, trimming the squad ( what we seem to be doing) and bringing in a few gems. I hope this is the case.
