The best thing about it is that when QPR come to Stoke, they'll be picking tickets up for about £30. It's about time the Club charged visiting fans the SAME as we're charged when we go to their place! Robbing bastards! agreed

I'm actually shocked there are people replying who are saying they will still go I mean i can understand to some extent that its cheaper than a home game for you southern stokies, but come on, £52, surely we should all stand together on this and boycott? Its worth the sacrifice of one game to do so (plus we never do well at QPR anyway!). Loftus Road for £52 fooking quid, what is the world of football coming to!? Plus it won't be as good an awayday as normal anyway as there will only be about 50 people in total turning up for Stoke! I agree that sometimes a lower following can actually lead to a decent atmosphere (Fulham away in the 09-10 season for example, or many of the away games from the lower leagues) but for the amount that will actually pay the money to go this game, there won't be many at all, so just can't see it being an enjoyable day. Then again, feel free to go if you are adamant, but i'll enjoy it from the comfort of my own home with a stream of the game an a few cans and save myself £50

Cannot believe their audacity. Who do they think they are? Barca-bloody-lona? I don't know what to do i was looking forward to watching us stuff my housemate's team and then having the night out in london after. (I assume there is always the possibility that there will be pubs showing the match in shepherd's bush area?)

It's really something when you could get the mid range tickets for the Wembley semi finals for cheaper than this. I probably wouldn't have gone anyway unless it was in the summer, but they can do one. Old Trafford is cheaper and at least they've won the league 19 times and have one of the best away ends, for a view, in the country.

As a comparison for the equivalent in Australian dollars I can take my family of 4 to the rugby league over here and see the best players in the world. Also they haven't even got a statue of a peodophile outside the robbing bastards !

Fucking disgusting. Had a good away day down there a few years back mind. Can't remember the score mind..

It's not just the away days that are too costly. I know this is a subject that's been done to death but football in general is just disproportionately expensive. As mentioned above the things you can do for the same cost as going to the football is just wrong. We're not renewing next year, which makes me sad, but I just can't justify the cash. Non-league and late night MOTD for me.

I actually quite like Loftus Road for some bizarre reason and I think I've been there 5 or 6 times so was looking forward to it, very much doubt I'll pay that much mind. I went to Chelsea in the first season up which cost me £47 and I'm never going to Stamford Bridge again at those prices.
Got to feel for the QPR fans really. Shepherd's Bush, Acton, Harlesden aren't exactly the most affluent areas of London and they've already been getting ripped off for a few years in the Championship.

I was looking forward to going to Loftus Road as been many times in the past - but agree withh all here i wont be going now for sure . I think most of their supporters are , like us , good working class types and proper fans who will be thinking " can we afford to support our team after this " ?

I think the test here should be less about whether an individual can afford the price, or is prepared to pay it, or what might be saved by not paying it. An alternative way of looking at it is to ask the following three questions.
1. What if SCFC had raised prices like this in the first season in the premier league? 2. What would the effect of that be on the people who had been regulars in the previous season(s)? 3. How would we like fans of other clubs to act to support our position?

why dont the FA step in and insist that the drama queens park rangers fans are charged the same as visiting fans are charged at loftus road when they travel to other grounds, and this should be the same when all fans travel to other grounds. fans of clubs like arsehole fc and chelski and now drama queens park rangers are having a cheap away when traveling to other grounds around the country. when you look at admission prices in england compared to those abroad is shows how much all clubs in england are taking advantage of their fans. the bubble will burst one day and more clubs will go to the wall..

PC realises the times of the world. he was happy to keep prices low knowing we would sell out most weeks only empty stadia will force clubs into action but for all the people that say they wont go we will still send 1000+. that is the reality the FA need to take action in ticketing prices. the average age of match going football is going up every year so we can build all the corners we want but if we dont price fans into the games they cant attend the money made at the ground is nothing in comparrison to the tv money made so why they feel they have to fleece us is down right wrong

it's not all about what you can get elsewhere for £52, but more about not being taken for idiots and a cash cow. Saying that, for just ONE £52 ticket, a family of THREE can: get into Alton Towers for the day, book a room in a hotel at the seaside and have 2 full days there Go to watch 4 films Most of the weeks shopping 4 visits to ten-pin bowling watch 3 non-league matches etc I've mentioned on other threads, but last season Citeh ran a "3 Europa Games for £50" deal - including the game v Juventus. That kind of puts things into perspective.

I am disgusted & gutted by this! I live in Shepherds Bush and was really looking forward to this, but even I am going to have to think twice! On the one hand it will probably be cheaper for me without travel etc but I am going to struggle on principle to pay more to go to Loftus Road than the wembley semi final!

Robbing bastards! agreed We should charge QPR fans £30 but charge the QPR owners an entrance fee of £22 (£52 - £30) for each travelling QPR fan. £22 x 2000 fans = £44,000.
