Winzip'll do it.
The question I'd ask with a file that size - would it not be easier to just email it and collect on the desired machine?

yep its called disk spanning... you might be able to "zip" the file down to fit on the disk too but it'll be dependant on what your file is... if its a document then you'll be fine zipping it as it'll compress a lot. video files such as that one of the girl on soccer am wont zip down far as they're already compressed. winrar is much better IMO than winzip; grab a copy here: www.winrar.deWidget.

I've always used "hjsplit". It'll split any file type thats under 2GB! You can also split the file into however many files you want. Its only 130k and piece of piss to use. freebyte.swmirror.com/hjsplit.zip

Cheers for that...
The computor I want to load the files onto hasn't got inernet access and the computor they're on at the moment doesn't have a CD writer...it's a bit of a bugger as I can zip it down to about 1.5Mb which is still too large. I'll manage with one of the techniques above.
BTW Do they sell really high density floppies with more than 1.44Mb space at all??

you can format a 1.44meg floppy to hold almost 2 megs of data but you'll need something like: www.floppysoftware.com/en/maxformat/the 2HD on a High Density disk means it could hold up to 2meg of data. a boring did you know is that 640meg cdr's actally hold nearly 900 meg - only 40% of the space is allocated to error correction. /grabs coat in shame at boring knowledge ;D
