Thing that annoyed me most about Bale is that a few minutes before he was writhing around like he'd been fucking shot by a sniper. He rolls about and holds his ankle, his shin, then his knee. He does this EVERY single time he is 'fouled'. It was an awful challenge and the intent was definitely there, so I hope Adam get's banned ( I also happen to hate the arrogant over rated wanker.) I think the ref may have taken action but he was the wrong side of the 'tackle' and the other Blackpool player was hiding the tackle... Interesting though as Harry didn't say it was definitely ligaments or definitely a break - surely he would've had an X-ray pretty much straight away, regardless of swelling, to establish if it was a break?

Having watched it numerous times now I was wrong about Bales ankle already being bent over but his foot was on the floor when Adams stamped on him. How that can be construed as a 'studs up tackle' by virtually everyone on this thread is beyond me Like I have already said it was a bad tackle there is no denying that....bad tackles happen every game,we're quite likely to see some today, possibly even from our players....was the intent there, only the player can know that

I haven't said it was 'studs up', but i will say, he stamped on him, and look at how he approached the "tackle"
Looks very much like he meant to stamp on him, you don't often try to win a ball by stamping on it, you're not trying to pop a balloon!

It was a studs first stamp. A coward's tackle. I don't really see how anyone can argue otherwise?

There was no way he was going for the ball. He just steamed in at pace and stamped in the direction of Bale's leg, long after the ball had gone. If he'd wanted to pull out, he could have done.
