There were some good photo's from Villa away when Whelan banged home the equaliser in the last minute.
Most of the players running across to the corner where the Stokies were.
Anybody got any of these?

I thought Parkin was mint [sauce]. Me and my uncle used to joke about him because he was always out at halftime later than anyone else when he was on the bench, we used to say "he's probably having his pie and chips"

Coventry game was the season before we signed Shawcross. I don't remember the Newcastle game being foggy though.

Sir James of Greenhoffshire scored both, I think, after we had gone one down. It's on Facespace somewhere, with the Hugh Johns commentary. Typical pudding of a Baseball Ground pitch. Stoke must have had about 8,000 there that day, and you are right to suggest that Derby won the league. After that match we were several points ahead of them, and could well have won the title. An epic day.

A must see for all those who never experienced The Boothen End. The best photograph for capturing how IMMENSE it really was, just imagine a second later that mass of people erupted as the Golden One scored vs the Shit. Still up there with my favourite moments as a stokie!!!!

This is Gordon Banks celebrating to the Stokies in the Stretford End after we knocked out West Ham in the second replay of the League Cup semi in '72. My favourite Bonksie of all time, not least 'cos I was in the crowd and we were on our way to Wembley. The rest, as they say, is history . . . . .
