Can't believe so many people still take Parliament seriously and invest so much faith in it. I can't believe that you still think the world is being taken over by pinky and the brain ;D Quite right. You're in a minority of one if you think anyone gives a flying one for your daft conspiracy bollocks!

I think we need proper reform and by changing to AV we'll still have a crap, largely undemocratic system. We need politicians to have proper debates and votes over which system should be used. Voting Yes to AV will put electoral reform to the bottom of the pile again and we'll be left with unfair election results for decades to come.

Or it could be the first step towards proper PR where everyone, and not just a select few in marginal seats, has their vote represented in parliament.

You're in a minority of one if you think anyone gives a flying one for your daft conspiracy bollocks! It's no conspiracy that the country is run by corporations and elite bankers and most of the important decisions are made outside of Parliament. Elections are just shovelling shit around 5 years to make idiots like you think you have a choice. "conspiracy theory" is a nice mocking media term where they blend the ludicrous with the plausible in order to keep people on board with the show.

they should just line all prospective MPs up 400 years away from parliament and let them run for the doors, first 600 and whatever it is through the doors wins, they can give them non lethal weapons to help them thin out the field as well, like a sort of Its a kNockout compo...

Voting Yes to AV will put electoral reform to the bottom of the pile again and we'll be left with unfair election results for decades to come. And voting NO won't do this ? How naive are you, if you honestly believe that voting NO to change will help change, just because the change proposed isn't quite to your liking. I confidently predict that there will be NO parliamentary reform in my life time, if the vote for this referendum is NO Vote YES they will not give us a 2nd chance to change this shitty system

Many people have died for their right to vote.
I always go to the booth and spoil my ballot paper. The system is corrupt.

I think you'll find the odd MP has been found out recently. We are all being taken for mugs, including my relatives that fought for freedom only to be find many many years on that the so called elite still run everything.

I will be voting YES. AV is far from perfect but it's an improvement on FPTP and a step in the right direction.

Vote YES! Why should we persist in a system where people are afraid to vote for who they really want because we feel we have to vote tactically to stop someone else getting in?

The disinformation campaign designed to make me vote "no" has convinced me to vote "yes".
It's not an ideal change but it's the only option given. Voting "no" will give them the reasoning to refuse any kind of electoral change in the future.
