This is what i thought when i heard that we had signed him, to tell the truth id only ever seen highlights of him and thought he was an overseas failure that went to italy for fame but on monday after i saw him i would have loved to see him on earlier i thought he was brilliant and very dangerous, a breath of fresh air and he might be worth having long term??

Has always done very well when coming on.

The four loans rule means that barring injuries, he's only ever likely to start on the bench.

Put him wide right if Lawrence is out on Sat he is the best option we have there

Destroyed us at the Brit for Coventry in the past but it comes down to the Brian Laws policy - we can only play 5 loanees

I colleague at work is a Wolves fan and he was surprised that Stoke took Boothroyd on loan? Doesn't rate him, says he a bit of a poser and nothing more.
Personally I think he looks okay.

Put him wide right if Lawrence is out on Sat he is the best option we have there That would mean dropping one of Nash, Riggott, Pearson or Ameobi to the bench. Can't see that happening.

he has been one of the better players when he has come on so far, he reminds me a little like hendrie.

thought he looked ok as well.
Put some decent crosses in when he came on on Monday. Looked lively enough - would like to see him have 45 mins (not that Pulis ever makes a change at half time!!).

Would have to agree with what you've said, BUT he does tend to have a few good games for new clubs, wins a contract then becomes VERY ordinary, reminds me alot of rooster russell, was brilliant on loan then we sign him and he became ordinary, lets use him while we attempt to get to the prem and leave it at that!

Drop Nash then, he hasnt been any better than Simmo in my opinion and opens up another loan spot where it matters.

Personally I'd be tempted to drop either Nash or Riggott to give us the option of playing Bothroyd from the start if Lawrence isn't fit for Coventry.

On the run outs he's been given I think he looks very promising, and maybe hasn't been given a fair crack of the whip. He made more of an impact in his 13 mins than Cress did all game. I know he probably wouldn't track back as much as Cress, but there has to be a case for him getting the nod of RC?

He was shit at wednesday but looked alright last night to be fair. More of a wide man than forward in my opinion.
Can be a poser but for his size seems very good technically. Put in some great deliveries on Monday night. Made a hugh difference.
All in all the jury is still out!

No brainer for me - if Lenny can't play then he must start wide right. Apart from Whelen, Fuller, Salif and Lenny himself, possibly the most technically gifted player at the club right now.

I rate Bothroyd and I would love to see if we could get him in permanently. Thought he was a breath of fresh air when he came on Monday night. Him and Fuller could work really well, unfortunately the love child of Gifton and Mama is up there at the moment, but I'll keep an open mind on him.
A good bit of business if we can keep Bothroyd, but I doubt it if Wolves close in on us. Ahh well, theres always Gally? hold up has he legged it back up'north?

if LL isn't fit boothroyd should start
so what if doesn't track back as much as cresswell it just gives a bigger case to play Wilkinson as right back who is an out an out fullback rather than a very average griffin who in all honesty has been poor since his return

I think Jay looks the pick of the loans for me, he has that touch of class.
If Pulis doesn't start Fuller and Bothroyd I think he has problems in his head.

Though he has looked lively , quick and skillful whenever he has been given a chance.
His inclusion in the starting line-up is straight forward. Drop Riggott ( too small for a centre half and no threat at set pieces ) and bring Shawcross back in. Put Boothroyd on the wing. Drop Cresswell ( cant beat his man and never gets any crosses in ) and then put Boothroyd out wide , with Mama and Richardo up front.
Pulis has made a big mistake with Ameobi. He looks unfit and uninterested to me !
