Anyone see him go down clutching his face when the ball hit his hand in the area?? ;D He's a sneaky fucker Huthy. I know it's not exactly trying to get someone sent off but it doesn't quite fit in with our fair play ethos...?

Not what you want to see from a Stoke player, the more we stay in this league the more it will sneak in, remember pennants dive against villa leaving a sour taste in the mouth.

I love Huth for exactly this type of thing. He's a cynical bugger and we need more of them. Playing honest will get You nowhere in this league.

Pennants dive? Wasn't that on his first game for us? cut him some slack, he did not know our ways back then.
The Huth thing was clever, it was never handball BUT Huth didn't the officials an option.

It's a medical condition he has, he has a frayed nerve endin in his hand that when caught correctly hurts his face. Either that or he's a big fuck-off cynical German Centre Back. Not sure which.

I thought he was doing the childish thing, covering his own eyes, hoping the ref couldn't see him to send him off.

If you watch the slo-mo of it you can see that Huth does get hit in the face - by his own hand. The ball strikes his arm and he smacks himself in the chops! That's why he was rubbing his nose... ;D

Huth is a colossal snide. I like him. His snideyness is as entertaining as it gets these days.

He's a quick thinker is old Huthy.....and seeing as he brought his arm up to block the ball it could well have been a penalty had the ref seen it

As above - his hand gets smacked straight into his face from the power of the ball hitting it - think you guys and the media are giving him too much credit for quick thinking!
He is a cynical bastard, no doubt about it, but a quick thinker perhaps not!
(PS - he is player of the season by a mile so far! Shiuld be captain! Ryan isn't nearly sneaky enough lol)

Great stuff...when the snidey so-and-so's on your team! Of course when Taylor did it for the Toon, he was an 'orrible piece of work and completely beyond the pale. I do think Huthy's snidey side does add to his hero status though

Huth is a fucking genius in terms of football's dark arts. Like a cross between Snape out of Harry Potter, Darth Vader and the Russian bloke out of Rocky. It's a cynicism you could only get from being born behind on the wrong side of the Berlin wall.

its not what we want to see but, this is what you get with bad refereeing and other players trying to con the ref too

I remember Leon Cort doing the same thing against Everton a couple of years ago.
I don't especially like it.

I called that straight away at the game. I said to my mate that it must have hit his hand as he held his face and we laughed at his cynical side.
I have to agree with the poster above...Huth's antics are actually the most fun thing about our games of late, especially away from home.
He is a cynical fucker and loves a bit of contact. In fact, he positively relishes it. When he played against us for Boro I abused him chronically for such antics and commented on it when we signed him on this forum.
I love him for it now. Huth is class! That incident yesterday was the highlight of a very dour game for me! ;D
Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuttttttttttttttttttthhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
