3 games in 6 days jarhead, with Liverpool being the least winnable game on paper. We won the more winnable games, so its a good week yes?

On paper yes because like you Pulis see's the BADGE ONLY! BUT in reality they are dog-shit and still dog-shit and IF we played our strong line up and had ago we might be sitting here with another point or three???

So lets now pick and choose when we are going TRY to win Huddy????
Well done for wanting Stoke City to lose.
If Pulis could tell us then what games he thinks we can win and the one's he aint going try in so we dont have to waste our time and money.
thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure TP doesn't actually choose which games we win and lose But I'm equally certain that you and your kind cannot wait for him to lose a match Would that be a fair assessment ?

As posted earlier... Is anyone else noticing a pattern here? When we play 4-4-2 with two proper wingers and a balanced back four, we usually look a damn good side. Not pretty, but effective and purposeful, and with pace on the flanks and such physical presence in the box, we must be a nightmare to defend against. When we start playing with Delap on the wing, or farting about with Huth at right back, or Diao in a holding midfield role (for God's fucking sake) we look like a 2011 version of the infamous Pulis' binary team- a plodding, purposeless dog of a side who couldn't string a move together if we were playing against a team of wheelie bins. This is what supporters find so frustrating about Pulis- when we follow the blue-print properly, it's like watching a different side. Yet it only takes one set back, like Blackpool at home, where in truth we just played badly on the day and nothing broke for us- and Pulis sees it as an excuse to revert back to the "Dr Jeckyl" stuff- and we end up chucking points down the toilet as a result. So, I'm hoping today's a turning point where Pulis realises what a fucking mess he's made of the last few games, remembers how he's got us where we are at the moment and sticks to it for the rest of the season. The calls for "Pulis out" after the Liverpool game were ridiculous, but I think part-fueled by this frustration that Pulis himself almost refuses to believe what a good group of players he's assembled, and puts the shackles on his own-side, usually with disastrous results. But thankfully, normal service seems to have been resumed today and to be honest even if we'd lost 1-2, I couldn't have had any complaints about the way we'd gone about things. And as for taking off Wilko to go 3-4-3, AND sticking with it after we'd equalised to get the winner. Well, Tony Pulis...this really is new territory, and after 20 years of "safety first" football, perhaps that proves that sometimes, fortune really does favour the brave. Well done Pulis...now don't be so fucking stupid again. Wow.... well done for your grudging compliments but then your condescension crept in.. Nothing begrudging about anything I've said. If TP has a good day at the office I'll sing his praises from the rooftops...if he inflicts something like Wednesday night upon us, he'll get it with both barrels. As for your condescension...that's rich coming from one of the most condescending and patronising people on here.

credit where it's due it was a good gamble, very unexpected but the right one. I was fuming after Wednesday. it really felt a wasted trip but today somewhat appeased me. I bet you were mate, felt like that after the Fulham game - not going to any more away games 'till Pulis stops writing off games before the ball is kicked. Alot of money to flush down the toilet.

12 corners, 18 attempts on goal; WOW We are going to be 5 or 6 up against someone soon, if we keep playing with that 11 players. Yeah never know March, we might even sneak a win at Anfield, playing with those same players too ... one day!

Bit of a shitter when you have to shore up the centre midfield because Delap is on walkabout, Pulis needs to get in the stands to see how crap he really is. How many throws did he lob to the 'keeper today? Lost count.

I must be missing something here ...
The people who were criticising Tony's approach on Wednesday, haven't all dissapeared tonight because their 'agenda' has took a battering.
Indeed, rather they are on here, lauding the guy for the team he sent out and for the (huge) tactical decsion he made in the second half today.
There isn't anybody on this thread who has been calling for the manager's head this week, just people who are capable of being objective.
He totally fucked up on Wednesday and he got it spectactularly right today, what's the problem? ... that is what happened, he's human like the rest of us - live with it.

a guy near me was complaining that the throw doesn't work and we shouldn't use it anymore, clearly couldn't remember the first goal then. Somebody near me actually asked if we had scored from a throw all season! And they then expect you to take their opinions seriously.

Indeed a masterclass was needed to counter act his totally ineffective pre-match and half time team talks.
2 goals conceded in minutes from both kick offs. Wtf is he saying to them?
Let's face it if Stoke had scored those goals then it would be a veritable jizz fest on here lauding the genius that is TP.
Great RESULT today in trying conditions and having KWJ in the side.

Come off it Pugs ... you're better than that ... are you seriously suggesting that what TP said to them, before they entered the tunnel, directly contributed to those two specific goals? Sometimes shit does happen - to claim that the manager's team talk(s) was a significant contributory factor to those specific occurences, is just plain daft and you know it. He made a superb (and highly unexpected) tactical change in the second half, that paid handsome dividends and he should (imo) be applauded for it.
