wouldnt mind him at Stoke, as a squad player for 2 and half million tops. IMO isnt better than Wilson, and we need a box to box, work horse like Deano in our side. So i wouldnt pay the 7 or 8 million people are quoting for him

I agree about Vaughan I'd love him at Stoke.

Good passer no doubt but he does make some very expensive mistakes at this time I think £4m is about right, given he is coming to end of contract.
TBH if Piennar is only raising £3m and in the same situation that is a very good price.

I agree with onneravineet, Vaughan's a cracking player. When Crwho sold him for £200.000 to some Spanish club I couldn't believe we didn't snap him up!

By the same token Beckham could swing a ball in from the right touchline and was good from free kicks......he had no pace and wasn't much of a tackler so he'd never get in a top 4 side either eh. Adam does make mistakes in dangerous areas I agree, but if there's a better passer of a ball in the Premiership I've yet to see him ! well obviously I meant the best passer after Rory Are you seriously saying he's the best passer of the ball in the premiership? Have you not seen Rory Delap?

He's a good, tidy player and can spray a 50 yard pass when needed. Can't see him playing for any of the top 4. Maybe someone like Everton. Villa or even sunderland

He has been brilliant for Blackpool. And now he (or his agent) wants to capitalise on that. Who can blame the lad? A huge risk for anyone buying him though. He has fitted in perfectly where he is but would it work out elsewhere? So many stories like that. Classic example is Jermaine Pennant. Kris Commons even. But if he can double his money in a three year contract it would be worth it. Bank manager talk - not football.

Stick by what i said before - i think the bidding will ramp up to about £6M - £6.5M for him.
Not a ("noveau") top 4 club though - he's only worth it to clubs that are bricking it at / nr the bottom - Brum / Villa / Wolves etc.
Albeit Kenny might yet make a bid also i reckon.

I think he's a really good player, but I'm holding back from singing his praises too loud until he does eventually move. For Blackpool he normally has 4 or 5 players ahead of him to pass to whenever he gets the ball, and is quite often in a midfield vacuum due to the number of players blackpool have thrown forward. I just think their system flatters him a little as it would any ball playing midfielder.
If he came to Stoke and consistently find a Stoke shirt when 8/11 players treat the ball like a live hand grenade and the other three are usually being double marked then I'll kiss his arse.
Having said that, you can't deny he does play some delightful balls.

Try watching Fabregas, Modric, Huddlestone, Gerrard to name but a few Adam is pretty decent but you are taking things way too far by aclaiming him the best passer in the Prem.

stokeramblers, unfair to compare Holloway with the numpty Brown, he's built up a decent team and club ethos much like ours and doing well with a bunch of average but affordable players. Don't berate the guy for answering stupid questions honestly, naive yes but big head - I think not. Personally, I find him refreshing and amusing and long may it continue.
