Done it 3 times now, and it all hinges on the Brizzle result.

Christ its going to be close. Think I've been fairly pessimistic, given us ample opportunity to 'do a Stoke.'
Bristol game a draw.
WBA 79 Watford 78
Stoke 78 Hull 77 Bristol 77 Plymouth 68

I find it hilarious, even now with only a handful of games to go people are still clinging to the hope the Bristol will drop off. Some on here even predicting them not being in the top 5. There is being optimistic and there is being down right desperate and a bit stupid if I'm honest. For me it will be between Hull, Bristol and West Brazil for automatic with us in for a play off place.

RAF,
You are incorrect.
Hull will fall away, Bristol will rightfully win the league and it will be between us and Brazil for 2nd spot. If we can muster any kind of form we'll be up.

Our form is poor in terms of wins, for us to get auto I think we have to beat Bristol, and one of Hull or WBA has to have a stagger. I can't really see more than 3 wins and 2 draws out of the last 5 games, and our goal difference is cack, so we need someone to help us out and to make sure we beat Bristol.

If we pick up 3 wins and 2 draws we are up, no questions in my view.
That is 2.2 points a game.
So far this season Bristol (top of the league) have picked up about 1.7 points per game.

I said around Xmas time that Brizzle would fade away and finish outside the top 6,I now stand corrected by those that doubted my prediction and will now predict a top 2 finish for them. Its a reverse psychology thing

Other than the self confessed optimist, rebelliousjukebox - no one has Bristol City more than 2 points off the top, do they? It looks as though 2 points could easily separate the top 5 though at this stage. Come on Football League, do the right thing re Sheffield Wednesday and hand us a couple of cheeky points.

On this particular thread no, however in general if you read all the other threads that have preceded this one, most predicted Bristol to fall off at some time, just as now some are predicting Hull to go the same way. It's just some peoples way of dealing with the very real possibility that we might not actually get an automatic place after all. A bit of realism might not go amiss for a few. All you have to do is look at the form table.

Thanks for the other smite you gutless wankbag whoever it was. What's wrong can't articulate yourself ?

I see RAF, my mistake. I read your message as though you were referring to this thread, not the others. Bristol will obviously stay with the 'pacesetters' (as the pacesetters include us.) I think a lot of the optimism for Bristol's fall from grace comes from programmes such as 'The Championship' which seem to start every Bristol segment with the words "Bristol were outplayed for much of the match yet salvaged a draw/win in the final moments." Form suggests Hull will go up, history suggests they'll implode once they hit the top and that anyone can still win it.

Agree RAF apart from' For me it will be between Hull, Bristol and West Brazil for automatic with us in for a play off place'
Why on earth are the other 3 in for an automatic place and not us?????
We're second fella- am shocked someone has Watford to go up personally.

'and our goal difference is cack' Our goal difference is superior to Bristol City which could prove very vital as at this stage and this close is equivalent to an extra point over them.
