my first match was in 82 I think.my brother took me after pestering him relentlessy to take me watch my heroes and European champions liverpool. stuck in a rammed boothen end and being about 4 foot tall at the time I saw nothing of the match but walked out stokie and ive never looked back.think we won 2 0 and will never forget my first glimpse of the vic and the atmosphere during the match. thanks for taking me bro.. ur legacy to me lives on (RIP)

I remember Sir Stan's Testimonial, and my most favourite NON-Stoke player of all time - Lev Yashin
I left England for Oz in 1971, so I missed the League Cup win but I remember Sir Stan (of course), Eric Skeels, Peter Dobing, John Ritchie, Eddie Clamp, Alan Bloor, Dennis Viollet, Jimmy Greenoff and Mike Pejic et al
I was a year behind John Farmer at Wolstanton Grammar School
