I may be on my own here, but I trust him a lot more than Tommy. He seems to be more commanding in his box and have a better realtionshop with the players?

I agree yes he could be partly blamed for there first goal but he looks more confident he needs a run in the team to give him confidence.

i think he's good, absolutely stunning penalty save, tommy wouldn't have saved like that, even tho i am a fan of tommy Although it was a great save by begovic it was a pretty poor peno in my opinion. I disagree, tommy would have been able to save that too! Hes saved some awesome penalties!

thought his save was point blank and was unlucky it fell straight to gyan stoke defender should have been more on their toes like gyan falls centre of 6 yard box no defender to be seen????

Pick you are a complete weapon. Begovic made a fantastic point blank save with which part of his body I don't know. It could have gone anywhere unfortunately it went to Gyan who was completely UNMARKED in the middle of our goal. Blame who should have been picking the twat up not Begovic. he was at fualt for the goal and so was faye and collins, it was wank defending again

If you believe that Begovic was at fault for their opener then thats your opinion I would suggest that it proves you know very little to absolutely nothing about the art of goalkeeping,so in future i will not be taking any comments you make about our keepers seriously

If blame is going to be apportioned then it should lie fairly and squarely at Huth's door. At fault for both goals. For the first got drawn to Wellbeck who Shawcross was marking and left Gyan free and the most poncey clearance yo ever saw for the second. Oh and while we're at it was partly responsible for the penno. Total liability at the minute.

Begovic never fills me with any confidence and yesterday was the first decent game he's had. Let's hope there's more to come.

I think/ hope he will get better and better. Pompey loved him and it is very hard to show what you have when you are dropped in the team. Give him a good run and i hope he will show us what the Pompey fans loved.

Begovic has a tough, tough job, our defence is fucking useless at times, Gyan scored because not one of the back four were within 10 yards of him which is shocking.
Cracking penalty save though

Just watched it again, the idea that Bego could have done anything about the goal is utter lunacy.

He was very unfortunate that it rebounded to Gyan in the middle of the goal who HUTH had just run away from. In no way was either goal down to Begovic. Oh and I take it the penalty save was just luck was it? are you blind? collins was out of position and faye was marking thin air while his man ghosted into the box to shoot at begovic, who should have done better

I agree yes he could be partly blamed for there first goal but he looks more confident he needs a run in the team to give him confidence. I thought he was unlucky, the shot came in from close range and was so quick, It would have taken some super human effort to parry away out of danger. Give him a run of games and we will all see the decision not to sell him to Chelsea was the right one! Longton.

His initial stop was point blank from 6 yards, nobody has the reaction time to decide what to do other than get in the way of it. Penalty save was very good, as was the first save as I said leading to the goal.
