I have seen the sending off and it was very soft. He barely touched him.

I have seen the sending off and it was very soft. He barely touched him. Quelle surprise. To be fair, a bloke could come out with an axe and decapitate someone and you'd want the ref to just give him a warning. He flew in two footed when there was no need to, and could have broken the Blackpool youth's leg. Red card all day long. Don't the laws say that it a player is recklessly (to the point where he's not in control of his body) flying in then it should be punished?

He had control that's why he won the ball. I can see why he was sent off in the game today but after seeing some of the comments being written about I thought it would be worse. I at least expected a leg to be on the floor or something. Not someone flying in, winning the ball, missing the man and everyone being ok.

Hence the man being in agony on the ground? Again, getting the ball doesn't make literally any challenge acceptable.

He barely got him from the look of it and a bit of contact should be allowed in the right circumstance. But I can see why he was sent off I just don't think it was as bad as people are saying.

It was hardly "soft" though was it? I agree a bit of contact should be allowed. More than a bit probably. But if that kind of tackle is "the right circumstance", then we might as well start wearing armour onto the field or awarding points for broken bones or something.

I know, that's why I can see why he was sent off but some of the reactions I've seen to it made sound like he had murdered someone.
Rob-I never actually said that was the right circumstance but I do think it was minimal contact. And because it was minimal that's why I think it was a bit soft. Amdy Faye's is the softest two footed tackle I've ever seen though, I know he had to go but that one wouldn't have broke the skin on a 2 year olds shin.
